Seems to me that's a bad idea. That's a major heat cycle you put in the tire. With every heat cycle you take grip away from tire. Are you still doing this or have you found a better way I hope? I'm sure it did keep tires from chunking but did they keep grip in them well or get greasy after some laps?

Still a brand new tire. Only 1 heat cycle. You only get one race out of it when it chunks apart. These lasted 300 laps and won me the race.

The last tire I didnt do this with chunked apart at about 100 laps. Completely trashed down to the cords! Did not notice it get any more greasy than it normally would.

@No most dirt track cars do not have windshields. Dirt sprint cars. late models. modifieds etc.

@No No problem. They dont use windshields so they dont get covered in mud. Drivers run tear offs on their visors like moto x guys!
