I love your method of stacking (lining up) the segments right off the bat, before sewing them together (A4, B4, A3, B3, et el). Great idea (then there's no mix-up in the process of sewing)!

The outcome was very cute. I am rather new to piecing and quitting…I couldn’t follow what exactly happening. Measurements etc. It turned out really nice. I wish I could make it.

What can I do with the tree triangles that are not used.?
@susanirwin55774 жыл бұрын
Thanks for doing this! I too purchased the pattern a long time ago - was going to take the class - but they wanted me to buy the 10 inch square ruler and I just figured with the total price for all - it would bake to pricey for me ! and now I see I don't really need that ruler - but I did purchase the other ruler which I am happy about as I know I will use it. Thanks again for this - I really appreciate it!!

I have my trees made and the sashing is cut but somewhere about 3:24 you lost me. Are you trimming the peices from the background trees or the background strip peices and what dimensions are these trimmed to. Did I miss this in the pattern?
@laurieallred90904 жыл бұрын
My first attempts are off. It wasn’t clear in the pattern to trim before joining sections. And that’s probably why I had problems joining the pieces. Glad I found the video to help with my next batch. I have a couple of questions - in the video, piece A4 is shown being cut to a smaller size but the pattern doesn’t show that. And in the video piece A1 isn’t shown being cut. I can’t seem to get A1 the correct size. Help!
@karlaalexander90064 жыл бұрын
Hi Laurie, I discovered "pre-trimming" well after I wrote the pattern which is why it isn't included. As far as A4 being smaller, it just looks that way in the video, I assure you it is the same exact size as the others. I don't show the A1 piece being trimmed to size because it shows it in the pattern. The bottom edge is simply trimmed to fit with the section below it.

Thank you. Everytime I tried to take a class, it was either cancelled, I work during the day or COVID 19!!! I am very grateful for this tutorial and I hope I am able to finally make it this year!

Hello, I like the "crazy christmas tree" so much. Is there a way to purchase the pattern via e-mail - shipping to Austria costs a lot. The work steps are clear to me from the video - only the cutting of the tree, the distances, I don't understand exactly. I already have the ruler. Many thanks for your help
@karlaalexander90063 жыл бұрын
Yes! This can be ordered from my web site. Shipping cost is very reasonable. Email me at karlaalexander@mac.com and I will help.

The design doesn’t give step by step measures of the piece you’re working….now I see why. Lol, you trim as you go. The instructions are a bit short on description but the video is a great help. Thank you
