This underwater fishing footage was taken from my last trip out in the English Channel where we caught lots of Bass & Pollack and I took the chance to have a go with the water wolf 2.0 fishing camera.

Brilliant. Innovative video. Might have it projected it onto my bedroom ceiling as a calming sleep video to ensure I dream of bass. Really enjoy the direction you are taking your channel. Keep it up as it’s much appreciated.

Brilliant!! Every day's a school day. How's that for learning the best way to present a bait/lure to be most effective? Not to mention having an "eye's on" without SCUBA look at the wreck. Super entertainment as always. Thanks. Who'll be the 1st. to use the app. and link camera to phone and watch the bites live. Don't think it'll be me haha. Thanks again.

Well done Ben, incredible footage. I'm surprised how many are still down there given the overfishing of recent years. I guess they know where to keep safe (ish).

Thank you! The Bass stocks are actually very very healthy at the minute, where the stock falls short but is being rectified slowly is the sizes and numbers of BIG fish but with them being left alone more they are slowly coming back 👍🏻

yeah if you can get out away from the May Rot the water out there is very very clear which helps fishing no end with lures!

Good video Ben. It just goes to show that sometimes the fish are there but are just not interested in feeding. Keep the videos coming. Regards Trevor

Thanks mate, the lure was tangled for a lot of this, I tried a new way of rigging the camera but it didn’t work out. We actually had so much Bass we wound up leaving this wreck and went looking for feeding Pollack 👌🏻 Thanks for watching 😃

Awesome! 💪The different species were sitting exactly where i expected to see them . However those Bass came up the column more than i thought they would. Did i see a Bream there on the first drop ?.Love how the pout hug the bottom they seem to look at the lure as a threat rather than food ? There could be a lot of confirmation bias here but interesting how the bigger fish hide a bit more. Bass are super inquisitive they are real characters. Your footage opens up many possibilities and i notice theres a new live stream underwater cable on the market too. I think there are many conclusions from this footage but as we know more questions than answers. Is this why Bass can be so hit and miss on the lures. O.K so i don't want to inundate you with questions but can i just as - Do you see a difference in underwater activity and type of behaviour depending on the tide state (even at this depth?) Great work Ben I think we all appreciate its not just a case of dropping the camera down there with tides ,marks and avoiding gulley water all a factor. 👏

Matt, you’re one of the few people who I think maybe as geeky as myself when it comes to this sort of stuff and learning behavior and I LOVE IT. So yes, that was Bream there, great spot I noticed that and it was the fins and swimming that caught my eye intially for that. The Pollack I have noticed on a few occasions now that are getting bullied by the Bass when large numbers of them are present, whether it’s them using their gill plates or the Pollack just get scared and drop down deep I don’t know but traditionally you fish high in the water for Pollack but I’m finding now that’s not a hard fast rule AT ALL. I have seen Bass come to the surface following a lure from 200ft down, they really don’t care and are very inquisitive, often eyeballing a lure front and side on before either hitting or turning away or another has taken the call to not do any due diligence and hit it before it potentially loses a meal to those watching it. I have seen the cable cameras and was discussing them the other day but they only come with a 30m cable and also means more tangling i reckon but I’m experimenting constantly and that design would work well on a reef, maybe it could be attached to marks underwater drone so you have some sort of steering/direction control, Holywell for example be great for that I reckon….

Thank you for sharing, Ben. Looks like I was beaten to the question about setting up a live-view link between camera and your phone. No idea if tech is doable and you'd need to find way of setting the cam on a rig which did not 'upset' the way the lure is fishing. More please 🙂

Hey 👋🏻 I have done Newhaven, Brighton and Eastbourne marinas now and have to say Eastbourne is by far the best hands down for me on so many levels. Theres lots of pots but we don’t get the nets like Brighton gets so it’s a fair trade off really. Its gets silly there at Brighton marine entrance some times for nets
