le sserafim's hate train, though labeled as constructive criticism, ultimately led to kpop stans twisting their character and message, which i find to be the most dehumanizing aspect. when make it look easy doc was released, many people accused them of seeking pity, but in reality it was intended to control the narrative around their concept and what they represent. lsf concept has been subtle up to this point, embodying "more than meets the eye," which i personally enjoy. However, it might be too subtle for today's K-pop landscape, especially for girl groups. some fearnots might prefer lsf to clap back at haters, but i think people just want to hate for the sake of hating and nothing will make them change their minds. I suspect that they will become increasingly introspective in their next releases like crazier track, forcing people to just reflect for a second, which i think will be their best strategy (and i hope they also get to write more lyrics). given the ending of crazy music video and the documentary, I predict their next album (hot? or easy and crazy are just a duology?) will explore themes of happiness, meaning, and absurdity, and i' m all here for it, like go introspective nihilistic and atheist queens!

I actually really like how they response to the hate train. It’s obvious that the haters will continue to hate, and those that refuse to understand will continue to do so. I have seen so many people again mocking this comeback, the usual fighting of “this song is so bad/good”, the “where’s the vocals”…. Ultimately, LSRF doing their own thing is the best way possible, no need to jump to bite back the hate, but just simply continue their story, concept, even if the message does not reach to some audience. For me as a fan, surviving the Easy and Coachella era was hell, it was difficult even for a casual stan like me. With this comeback, I also tell myself to somewhat enjoy the comeback similar to the ‘Crazy’ concept of this album - I just enjoy it, embrace it, I don’t give a damn with the hate, I won’t let the hate sabotage the enjoyment I have for the album, I will be the crazy lsrf stan in some people’s (haters) eyes but that doesn’t matter. I enjoy the album, and it is all that matters

the album concept, photo concepts, the songs, literally everything is so cohesive and fitting. everything just FLOWS and makes sense. the carousel-like instrumental in pierrot and the opera part is so crazy and unhinged. pierrot is a "sad comic clown" used for entertainment - he represented human sadness and pain and wanted to find true happiness. this is literally le sserafim - they were the laughing stock of korea/kpop for the past few months while chasing their dreams. the entertainers became everyone's sick entertainment, but instead of letting themselves be consumed by those "sharks" who feed on their failure/mistakes, they go crazier and fully embrace it. they also champion legenedary female predecessors who paved the way in kpop. they act crazier, they go beyond our expectations, reclaim the narrative, and applaud each other for it. it's a crazy analogy and such genius story-telling. it's these small subtleties that make this album concept so good. i've been wishing for le sserafim to finally push out an album that just makes.. sense musically and artistically. - chasing lightning: doing whatever you want and chase the electric sparks that make you feel alive - crazy: embracing the "crazy" that people call you, staying committed to the "crazy" - pierrot: reclaiming yourself, rebelling, going crazy with all your passion - 1-800-hot-and-fun: just a silly song about having fun - crazier: feels like that post-adrenaline crash, yet you're still crazy enough to love it (job as an idol) even if it feels like you've lost so much of yourself unforgiven was fun but had a blurry and messy vision. easy (concept, title, album) missed the mark - it just felt super rushed and built on trends. neither added to their artistry or narrative in the way that fearless, antifragile, and now crazy does. i hope they continue going this way!!

@deborroni2 ай бұрын
Ugh! This whole comeback is sauurrr good and it keeps growing on me each day!!!! 😭😭 I think you worded it perfectly that the le sserafim concept presents thoughts/feelings/experiences of the members. I also think the seraphim/fallen angels reference ("act like an angel and dress like crazy") is another inegral part to le sserafim's concept present throughout their comebacks that helps tie their identity. What I appreciate most about this release is that it kinda contextualizes and fleshes out the Easy album more. My initial thought when Easy came out was that it was a huge departure from the soundscape and messaging of the first three albums, so they were loosing their identity, but I see now how I was mistaken. I think Easy and Crazy are cohesive in the way they integrated common elements/themes, and ultimately builds a new storyline/era for the direction of their music. The most obvious is the constant lightening/electricity images from the Easy opening trailer and music video (hair dryer/bathtub scene) and the concept photos and lyrics in Crazy. The styling is similar between the albums, the music videos are edited in a similar way (I think mostly of the use of the round fisheye lense/camara/filter?? Idk), and the multiple scenes with strong blue hue in both Easy and Crazy helps make the two albums feel like they take place in the same world. I'm sure there's definitely more subtle references and similarities between the two releases, but it's more analysis than I have time to look into. 😅🙃 I hope this means that they're following a trilogy format with Easy, Crazy, and a possible 3rd album maybe titled Hot? (Unless Hot is a reference to 1-800 hot n fun, but idk).

Kidding of course, the album was an excellent shock for my Friday (so shocking it made cell towers go down during a planned interview over the phone, I wish I was lying). I remember people disliking the ballad Bside because of it being a snoozer. However, I think (unlike most ballads in LSF albums) this one fits pretty nicely. Every party must end, and Le Sserafim is ending their party of an album with Korean Closing Time/j. Also Pierrot is that girl. And I’m sneaking songs from this album into the nearest club’s playlist if they aren’t already on it. Also that “meaningless” buffer at the end, what are you planning LSF?

Le sserafim has a very personal concept that most people refuse to fully understand solely because they can't comprehend the full meaning of it. Now I'm not calling these people dumb I'm just saying they don't try to understand because they don't want to. For them, its all about vocals and nothing else and all of the creative thoughts are completely overlooked in every group. People do this for New Jeans and Illit too because they don't have the same concept. Yes the overall direction looks very similar but New Jeans's concept is revolved around a certain story or maybe the parasocial relationship between the members and fans, while Illit's concept is much more cutesy and teenager vibes. I really like this particular albums because all of the lyrics are so well put together and they make it seem like they don't care about what you think and what they do is what they believe in. You can see this in Pierrot's concept because the lyrics say something along the lines of running through the rain like a psycho and how its always about doing the work not about happiness which in my opinion really describe how the hate train was and how it affected them. Overall, this album did not disappoint just like their other albums. Le sserafim has one of the best discographies in K-pop in my opinion.

For me, last trilogy was perfect; i act fearless but actually i'm not, the truth is i can be hurt but even with all my flaws i'm not fragile, if accepting those as part of me makes me unforgiven then its what i am... Sounds nice in paper but when you actually say it its different, and now that lesserafim have accept themselves its time to face the music, reality expectations, they're making their way even if its not Easy, but they believe in what they do no matter if others thinks theyre crazy bc they are Crazy for what they love... Thats going nice, I wonder what will come with "hot"...

I haven’t gotten around to hearing the full album yet (HYBE boycott thingz) but I was really surprised by this comeback. I’m not a Fearnot but something I appreciate about them is their concept & creative direction, which somehow heard my wishes for a kpop group to try out a more “Charli xcx” type experimental sound & work with the ballroom scene (sidenote, is somebody at HYBE watching Legendary? How did they get The Iconic House of Juicy Coutore?!). My only issue comes down to the music. While I think this sound is very refreshing for Kpop, it was missing that je ne sais quoi to bring it all together. I’m not sure if it had to do with the production or song structure but it just felt weak compared to what LSF has done in the past. I was also a bit disappointed that there weren’t a lot of producers or writers (with the exception of lyric contributions from Leven Kali) specialized in that genre who worked on the album. I get that kpop companies tends to stick to their in-house producers but I think having producers from that genre could’ve helped fine tune the music. Overall it’s a very interesting release for the group.

I love Eunchae's part too, something about the delivery of her rap lines in the second verse sounds so satisfying to me. Lol

you're not just into lesserafim but they have always showcased their concept, you probably didnt appreciate it because their music is changing every comeback.

@@HdjdnddjdhzksksI didn't say they didn't have a concept, they always had a concept, the problem is that the creative direction has always been a mess and underwhelming until now as If they never taken their own concept seriously. That's why people said they had no concept and no identity as a group when they in fact do. It has nothing to do with liking lsm music, especially when I like a lot of their song.😂

My honest thoughts: this comeback is amazing but unfortunately, the Vogue concept is nothing new. It has been incarnated by Madonna already up until today. So I think that the mix reactions from the audience on this cb has more to do with the concept rather than the hate train

We're talking about kpop here bestie, as far as ik Madonna isn't kpop. (Or is she... We'll never know)

@@svt_kiof kpop is just a branch of pop tho

@@W-I463 It's an industry, not even a genre, and industry. A very different industry from pop. It's a completely different things because pop is considered a genre of music but then if kpop is a genre of pop it'll be a sub genre of music but imo it should be considered a genre of music IF it has to fit something like that (hope I don't sound hypocritical now after adding the last part).
