Both played with lots of heart. It was a thrilling match from start to finish.

Hate seeing endings like that, but it was a great match up to that point. The play the few innings leading up to that was intense, strategy wise. Way above my pay grade. Good job, Scott.

Thanks for the upload. What's boring for those that don't understand the game is a pleasure for others. Being able to choose what you Shoot and then executing it. Scott is a great on the Mike. He causes me to think 🤔

I hope everyone appreciates what it takes for them to bring us these games. And to have the Freezer break it down?! Get out of here. This is fucking great.

He pushed thru the cueball and that was 3 fouls

And for good measure his slipper came off and hit the cueball.

What cue does Evan play with? I know he uses Predator but is that a break butt Edit: it could be that White Break Rush butt and Revo shaft is my only guess?
@kainpedraza6779 Жыл бұрын
I think it’s a predator volt butt with just a Revo shaft

What is that thing that fell off his cue? Why was it there? Good commentary Scott, thanks!

It's a piece of cloth. Corey doesn't wear a glove. It basically does the same thing as a glove, but when you play as much as these guys you know gloves wear down pretty fast. That cloth is just a cloth maybe a old t-shirt piece he cut. It ensure that every stroke is consistent, just like what a glove does.
@we5xz-1902 Жыл бұрын
He double-hit the cue ball
@pedrinhorep51 Жыл бұрын
Can someone please explain me what happened in the end?
@hairpig Жыл бұрын
Corey's last stroke was a double-hit (and a 3rd consecutive foul).
@JR-ti5jm Жыл бұрын
His slipper contacted the cue ball when it came off.
@1pocket11 ай бұрын
That's what I saw when I slowed it way down. You can see it fall, and see the cue ball move a little.

@@1pocket Watch it frame by frame. it never touches the CB. If you don't know how to do frame by frame ... Pause the video (must be paused). Then use the comma key to go back 1 frame per press ... Or use the period key to go forward 1 frame per press ... The "slipper" never touches it. It looks close, but I'm thinking he double hit the ball..? Or maybe he assumed it was close enough to where your opponent is allowed to basically pretend it did (whether it did or not) bc it's too close to call. I mean -- look here ... with slow motion we're arguing about it. Honesty, that's the first time I've ever seen a slipper and I freaking want one. I made I think a grand betting on Evan about 10 years ago or so in LV ... I was there with John Schmidt having just helped this girl-friend of mine escape some crazy dude. lol. Crazy times.

You know what's the worst thing about that ending ...? Whatever that thing was that came off of Corey's cue..? ... IT NEVER TOUCHED A BALL!!!! Watch it in slow-motion. Either hit shift + coma (basically the < key) .... or ... Pause the match, and use the coma or period to move 1 frame at a time! You'll see. it never touched a ball. NO FOUL. he just conceded bc he assumed it did. I feel for Corey. Who knows, maybe Even called a foul and Corey took him at his word..? Either way -- it wasn't -- and it's a bummer.

Hey Scott! No thinking. You have 3 matches to play with a single partner. 8 ball on a bar table, single game of 1 pocket, then a game 8 ball. Who's your partner? Active or retired. Who's the "A" team?
@stevejenkins1009 Жыл бұрын
Watched the last shoot many times. Don’t see a double hit or the slipper making contact with a ball. I think Corey forfeited after he opened the balls.

I agree. And I add…this is poor sportsmanship if that’s the case. I believe they have added a rule now that you may not concede a game in One Pocket anymore at this event. Although, I’m not sure it’s enforced. It’s kinda left up to the players to say something, and no one is going to complain about their opponent conceding
