I love the way Michael goes "....do i have a favorite AGE or MONTH?"

I'm surprised Erin didn't know about Andy and Angela earlier. This is an office filled with gossip for God's sake.

No one told Andy about Angela cheating and that lasted for many weeks?

They can keep secrets though. They kept Andy from knowing Angela was cheating on him for almost a month. I don't think any of them just care about the relationship they had

I mean, gossip is supposed to be about happenings, and the andy angela stuff happened as in past tense. Why would they keep talking about something that's already resolved? Maybe they simply forgot that Arin wasn't present then and assumed she already knew.

Erin overreacted and behaved like a brat. They had only been dating 3 weeks. She was ridiculous this episode.

I actually think the show does a good job up to this point of making even the viewer forget they dated

This isn’t Michael’s fault 💯 It’s only partially Andy’s fault I think. A well-adjusted person doesn’t freak out about a new partner’s dating history. Erin was presented as the hero in this episode but has a lot of growing to do.

"Do you have a favorite age or month?" is low-key KIND OF a great icebreaker question... Especially for a first date. It's open ended and requires a follow-up response to give their reasoning. It's just off-the-wall enough to intrigue and compel them. And it could potentially unveil some deep cut stuff you may not have known until you eventually became serious or got married.... Also, don't ask that question after you have said lots and lots of incomprehensibly dumb shit. Side note: "My hair was my room" was extraordinarily dark...

I complained about Jo being a great actress in a sort of weird pointless role. Gabe is actually pretty good though. Even though he rehashes some of Toby's vibes.

Noooo! You couldn’t keep in the “I’ll have what she’s having” line??? I died laughing at that first time I saw it. But I guess as a reactor maybe you didn’t get the reference?

I actually feel bad for Erin to be honest. Growing up in foster care with two decades of abandonment issues, finally feeling like they have a connection with someone. Is the reaction what any of us would do, maybe not, but you can't judge anyones coping with pain.
@jerodast
@jerodast 8 ай бұрын
See this is one of the several justifications for her absolutely bizarre behavior I just do not buy. ANDY WAS NOT ABANDONING HER. How does this trigger abandonment issues? Was she under the impression that Andy had never been romantically involved with another person, such that discovering any past history makes her feel insecure? Sure they played up Andy being nice to Angela after the fact, but that doesn't justify the initial reaction. A&A barely talk normally, for god's sake. So yeah, I feel bad for a person who feels that way for any reason, I just don't buy this character on this show feeling that way.

@@jerodast exactly, let's not even gets started with how she's living with another man she's not related to, and was in foster care with for like 2 years when she was 13...

@@jerodastas a person struggling with abandonment issues stemming from borderline personality disorder, i can tell you that the fear of abandonment can be triggered by the most benign things, like for example your significant other speaking to you in a slightly different tone than they usually do. it kicks off the spiral of paranoia and being flooded with 20 different ways of how and why they're planning to leave you and make you behave irrational. while erin's reasons are different, her emotional instability is similar to mine, so i wouldn't say her behavior is unbelievable or anything. she's clearly emotionally immature and unstable, so her reactions and responses to situations that make her feel even slightly unsafe (in regards to her relationship) are difficult for her to handle. it's nothing that andy did, it's just the way erin is

@@jerodast this reaction right here is never the response. Like sure, I'm sure the writers weren't thinking that in depth with it, it probably was written to be cringe because that's their best written emotion on the show. But the idea that you think you are close to someone who doesn't share something pretty big and relevant with you to someone like Erin could feel like a betrayel of trust. If you talk without enough people that have ADHD, are depressed, live with personality disorders, you see this kind of thing all the time. The putting the hair in front of the face being a major sign.

Erin and Andy were too boring for the powers that be so we needed to re-enter the drama zone. At least we get the real Erin out of it.

Erin lost me after this episode. They hadn't been dating that long and Andy hadn't been with Angela for awhile. He was actively being thoughtful for Erin and she freaks out for no reason. She lost me.

I do not understand what they were going for writing this episode. Now that I'm further removed from the initial broadcast, I can appreciate that seeing a different, angry side of Erin IS entertaining, but getting here feels extremely forced in same way many of the worst plot points of the late seasons feel random and forced. And after ONE EPISODE of the two of them together. _The Office_ was a master of slow burn romance, it was one of its claims to fame. That's...not this.
