I love the way Doris speaks; very warm and calm. This channel should be a mandatory resource for fashion students to study.

You got that right! I am a lover of ballroom Fashion and Ballroom Culture, and Doris has presented garments that are so inspirational, and full of history. She teaches us things that we never know. And it’s topics that she speaks on that are very important to the younger audience of today. If you go into a target, you see such cheaply made clothes that will last you about three times through the washing machine. I love how she educates us on the importance of holding onto Culture that resides in these garments she shows us. It’s not just closing…. , it’s history And every piece of clothing can tell a story

Hi Doris, So Happy you're recovered ! You have many people who care about you.Thank You for your research on Bakelite. I have had an interest since I was a little girl. My mother had 5 sisters, they had some interesting Bakelite jewelry, loved raiding their jewelry boxes. My Grandfathers telephone was Bakelite, and I had a brown View Master in Bakelite ! Wish I still had all these items ! Take care, Cindy

I love your videos very much becuase I love history, I love antiques, and I love to learn about something new. You and your videos are a fountain of knowledge ,and your passion is very evident, wonderful and inspiring to see and listen to. Also, you seem like a nice person who is inviting to the viewer. Bakelite is just captivating and I love the blast of colors and the shapes etc. I remember the film Agatha Christie's Evil Under the Sun which took place in the South of France in the 1930s. The women were wearing Bakelite jewelry and it was a feast for the eye of color. I think they really did a great job putting together the clothes and accessories of the 1930s.

Even The Dutchess of Windsor ; the most stylish woman of her day wore pieces of Bakelite . She was gifted with the most exquisite gems by her husband but was very kitschy prone too. I love this lady and enjoy her style.

I ADORE Bakelite & own several pieces, including a couple of WWII brooches (like the "V for Victory" one - only mine says "Mother"). I saw several pieces in your collection that I own & many that I wished I owned (the necklace with the pink elephants & cocktail glasses - SWOON!). Thank you so much for sharing it with us! I hope you will do more Bakelite videos.
