So stoked that someone trustworthy did a review of these. I feel like some people wouldn’t even consider these lenses given the price and branding of the company. But the image speaks for itself. Almost Russian vintage vibes without having to rehouse it. I feel like if you showed any DP a side by side of anything at 2.8 vs this lens near wide open, they’d prefer this lens. People get caught up with names and prices and often forget about what’s actually going to make a bigger difference to the image. And for the price it’s insanely good!

I have the Laowa 35mm f0.95 for full-frame Sony, and it's really incredible. It definitely takes more time setting up shots but the crazy subject separation on the wide focal length is totally worth the effort in my opinion!

@@BlaineWestropp1 I don't think so, atleast not as MFT. I am about to buy a used FS7 II with a Speedbooster, I got a really good price. I am mostly looking for Leica Rs right now (I want to get the 21mm and 50mm next. I already own a 35mm and a 135mm. I really like the super long focus throw on the old photo optics. The Laowa 12mm Zero D also looks very cool. Also the Fujinon MKs would be a great choice for an FS7... Too many choice, too few coins :D

@QuarzenZechenSoehne love the laowa 12. Have you considered the fx3? Is there something specific the FS7 has that you need over the fx3
@QuarzenZechenSoehne
@QuarzenZechenSoehne Жыл бұрын
I have considered a lot of cameras :D. Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Kinefinity, even RED. I think my dream would be a C500II (disregarding the ARRIs, because that is completly out of the realm of possibilites right now), I like the 6k sensor, internal RAW, 4k S16, 10stops of ND, 12G SDI. I was initially gonna pull the trigger on a URSA 4.6k G2 with a Leica R 50mm Summilux, but it had no handgrip, no V Mount at the back, no top handle. I love the electronic variable ND of the FS7 II. The FS7 II has the same ND-Filter as in the FS5, FX6 and FX9. I think its a great tool you can replace a cinefade with it. You can auto expose with manual lenses. CineD messured 12Stops of DR, Rembrand never used more than 12 Stops, I think. So if you expose well, you can still create very nice pictures. I also like the form factor and the price I got was 1750€. The FX3 is a very cool camera, but for me the S5 IIx looks better than the FX3, just for the OG recording. I also want internal NDs and I think the variable Sony system is just ingenious. @@BlaineWestropp1

Has anyone noticed like a pixel mesh pattern on Komodo footage, even in bright shots like around the 2:00 mark in 4k? @@BlaineWestropp1 I don't think its KZbin compression. I have noticed that on my Komodo 6K HQ R3D footage in Resolve and Premiere and in high resolution exports. some shots had filtration. I had a polar pro ND on it on the coffee shots and possible the shots of me on the couch. only reason for it was bc it was the only matte box/ND I had at the moment that I could fit on those lenses and it was a mist VND. I brought the lenses on a recent production and did shoot a couple elements of the project with the lenses on a c70. I will report back when the project is published in a few months.

Thank you! I love Dropbox but I’m disappointed bc I have a plan with them that they changed without any warning, and are now allowing me to get the “unlimited” space that I pay for and that they advertise. I upload 10-20TB/month and that used to be fine on Dropbox. Now they will only increase by 1TB/month. No warning. Anyways, hope they figure it out. Do you have unlimited on one drive? I added grain. Every once in a while I have to test different grain presets on KZbin, they are usually bad.

@@BlaineWestropp1 Understood! 1tb/month is toooo little man. I'm from Brazil and i use OneDrive.. I don't think they have a limit per month, my friend threw almost 5tb in less than a month.
