Yeah he was pretty slow, from the moment he launched the bike I had low expectations. He did better than I expected though, he still missed easy lines that would've let him shave off whole seconds. We're talking about seconds, normally I can't spot the flaws of a good rider, maybe here and there. Dude is all over the place, hope he practices more.
@dinxsy80697 жыл бұрын

@dinxsy80697 жыл бұрын
No doubt he's done more, but it's visually possible to see he's not riding fluidly, over working himself. Take the start, doesn't hold revs at peak, dumps clutch not slipped, ride it like you stole it mentality or pure adrenaline flowing. Either way he got to the end in one piece.
@nunomc28157 жыл бұрын
It's a modern 600rr, all the power comes after 10.000 rpm, he kinds of drives it like an old school 250 2 stroke racebike. Even so I agree he could be so much smoother and, overall speaking, more time effective. Brakes two early and accelerates hard well after desired corners exit point.

For hillclimb you need a torque monster not an R6........and a person who can ride
@cam98686 жыл бұрын
You clearly have no idea what torque is. Literally the only time the R6's low torque mattered in this entire video is the first 5 seconds of it. And it really was a garbage start because of the power wheelie, which came from torque btw
@ihateeverything39722 жыл бұрын
I feel like a RC8R would be the perfect bike. The riding is completely different on a hill climb. Constant uphill sections coupled with sweeping curves and tight bends. You're constantly going to be managing the front, especially as the gradient changes. And then comes a downhill portion where all the weight shifts around again, as you're coming in to a corner, and the road in your braking zone is kinda bumpy. This is definitely some of those most difficult shit in motorsport, up there while 24hrs of Le Mans and the TT

At 1:30 you can see he was way off line. entered previous corner too early and that put him out wide on the exit. Which in turn had him off line for the left hander. A bit of riding skill practice, turn-in points, steering and braking, with much smoother inputs will equal improved consistency and faster times.

Why are there so may experts out there? He drives the bike poorly, he revs too high, he is not smooth etc. First of all , you ride a bike - not drive, you drive a car. Second, how many fast times do you see set when the rider or driver has short shifted his or her way up the hill. I have loads more but let's just suggest it may have been his first time up there and he is still learning his way - but he is having a great time, not sat on his arse slagging off people he has never met and not really in a position to judge. Enjoy the videos people, and get off that high bloody horse.

Rider setup can improve, entry to corners needs to be worked on a bit and the rider does not seem to hit the apex of the corners shown correctly. Lots of improvement to really get a fast time is needed there. Start also needs some work. Overall maybe not the right track conditions with all the road furniture to really ride and attack the circuit. A crash there is going to be serious

On the few, motorcycles and also cars, Hillclimbs, bikes set times fastest than most of the "car". The only fastest thank bikes on Hillclimbs are the Osella/Norma, those ES2 prototype mono. You also need to consider that bikes run on a semi-slick, car on slick, and despite that tops 600cc riders are faster (or equal with the best) than E1/GT car. Unfortunately there are just a few competitions with they ran on the same track.
