What made the win so much sweeter for Fowler was the fact that a week before the tournament, Sports Illustrated came out with an article calling Fowler the most overrated player in the sports for his lack of wins. Sure shut them up

E Mo a few years ago I won a closest to the pin contest. Hit it to 1 foot 10 inches on a ~150 yard hole. Won some very expensive, very nice golf shoes. 3 putted the tap in 😂

@@GusLascola 3 putt? Yes but you still got some spiffy shoes out of it!! haha Maybe that's what makes the difference between elite level sportspeople and us mere mortals. Consistency in hitting the mark yes, but also the temperament to handle the pressure when it matters. just like my standard up and down short game from just off the green with a nice pitch needed when 3 ahead on the last. proceeded to top the ball across the green into the bunker on the other side and lose the round by 1 shot

I’m a golfer, and a shitty one at that, but I haven’t played regularly in over a year. Watching these videos makes me think “WOW I can hit GREAT shots because I just have to do (this one simple thing like slow my swing down)!” Then reality hits in the form of me shanking everything.

@@dylant4737 you'll get there easily if you practice and look up some videos on KZbin about your certain problems and just give swing changes time to set in with practice. I was a 36handicap when I was 13, quit for 10 years and after a few months of playing I'm about 13handicap

Great compilations. One occurrence worth noting is when Lanny Watkins and Tom Pultzer were in the same group and both dunked it in the hole only to have the ball bounce back out (#2 on the top 10 unforgiving flagsticks video). Talk about crazy.

A guy I use to work with topped the ball, then it ran on the fairway towards the side of a slope and did a semi-circle before dropping on the green towards the hole for a hole-in-1. He stopped playing since and never used his newly bought clubs again.

Golfed competitively from 8-18 and then just stopped it all completely... I wasn't in the best headspace and couldn't just simply enjoy the game anymore. Only doing something to win can get pretty poisonous to the brain. Right now I've been 'off' for 8 years. These videos helped me remember why I loved the game in the first place, all those fun crazy moments. Thank you.
