To be fair, you have to have a high IQ to enjoy Ze- 😂 Nah, I just think it's the upload schedule and lack of collabs. Algorithm punishes for not uploading regularly, and others are less likely to discover Zedaph without collaboration. It's the same with Joe Hills - he has a great sense of humour and wit, but doesn't have the same high number of subscribers.

Idea: make a part of the course where the “golf ball” has thorns armor like before and the player would have to beat the course in a certain amount of swings before they die

In the "Utilities" section of the armor stand book there are "Copy" and "Paste" commands. After setting all the posings for your "golf balls" you could have a backup stand somewhere safe just in case an armor stand breaks you can quickly copy the pose to a new one. Also mid-game this can be used to replace a ball from one of the other balls.

I did some testing with two main conclusions: Soul sand makes you hit less far and interacts strangely when combined with other materials Blue vs normal ice makes no difference

A golf course hazard: OF course, in "real" golf courses, sand traps are a hazard. IN MC, hitting off sand vs hitting off grass, there's not going to be a difference. Patches of SOUL SAND however......

I love how the golf course is requiring you to come up with all sorts of other contraptions just to make it work. It'll be beautiful when it comes together, and when all of that is hidden from the player it will be more complicated than it looks, like going around the back of a bowling alley and seeing all of the secrets!

I betcha Soul Sand might make a difference, if you want to have a mini golf vibe you can always use Slime to bounce and Honey to slide down walls

Just tested something in 1.16: netherite armor have a "knockback resistance" value, and it's working with armor stands! Expensive way to control how far the armor stand is going x)

Maybe have dyed leather hats on the armor stands to represent which one belongs to which player so they don’t get mixed up or maybe that’s just to add some color if you wanted to

Make the entire floor of the water tube for the golf ball ice, that will make them travel faster, and slide further in the ice block, so they reach the next water stream

Zed, i think this is just my suggestion to use knockback axe instead of sword. Since sword has sweeping effect and it might hit another player armour stand if they are too close. Thank you ^-^.

zed for problem number 3, you can either move them like villagers, like the way the water goes on their head when there is a new water source, or you can end the water early because they go faster in the begging with more water in the block, I hope this helps!

I think you could make more games than just football with whacky armour stands. Say, a football, like game, where two teams have to hit an (or multiple?) armour stand in the opponent’s net. Or a fishy kind of game with fishing rods.

If the armor stands can 'jump,' you can use walls and signs like in Impulse's villager breeder which transports baby villagers, which have a similar size and hitbox to small armor stands, through a water stream.

For the holes, you should put some fences over top of them, so that the armour stands can get through, but players can't. (I don't know if the hitboxes of the armour stands, can get through it's just suggestion.)

I have just popped back from the future to be the first to congratulate Z on the amazingly Hermitcraft-themed course design. Where each hole is themed around a different hermit. The Omega-tree hole, the pyramid hole, the honey-towers hole, the mansion hole, the fairy village hole... Genius!

Hey Zedaph, I had a couple of ideas. Will a second water source pick up the mini armor stand directly above the block with the sign? This would be cheaper than slime blocks if so. Another suggestion, and I have not done any testing but honey blocks should affect the stands. You can hit the stand into a wall of honey blocks and it will glide along the wall. This could help in lining up long drops.

And you could do a windmill (every mini-golf game needs a windmill) using a piston tape with a open fence gate in it! Don't forget the annoying obstacles like moving pistons or something. Every mini golf game has to have an annoying clown or windmill to cause problems. Oh and you can probably do hills and dips, as your last "Science session" proved armor stands can go up a few blocks. Might make the shots a bit harder.

solution for the water track, just have blue ice under all the blocks there, and the baby armorstand will make it

i found a way to do short hit and a very short hit, to do a short hit the armor stand needs to be on a slime, honey or soul sand block (if it's a slime block then the armor stands just slides along the floor and doesn't become airborn like on other blocks). to do a very short hit you have to hit something that is very close to the armor stand (for example another armor stand right next to the golf ball armor stand), the effects can be combined as well. I recommend using slime for the putting green because it looks like the ball just rolls, and maybe soul sand for the bunkers. also i think that you can enchant a stick or any tool with knockback if you would rather user that

This is really cool. It’s different than cubfan’s last season using tridents (which was so grand scale). The version with armor stands is kinda like ‘mini-golf.’ By calling it mini golf I don’t mean anything bad at all. I actually like that it’s more like mini golf than cubfans large scale golf. It’s different and i like the concept.

I think you should try using soul sand, slime blocks and honey blocks. I think those blocks slow down the armour stands and make them travel a shorter distance (at least that's what I found out when I did some very basic testing).

Tango and Etho are making a nether based game district just west of the jungle hermits. You should incorporate armor golf into that area! The area is shaped like a bowl which could solve the problem of moving the ball between holes.

This looks like a lot of fun. A couple of thoughts I had while watch - but away to actually be able to test them myself: 1. Does Sneak / crouch hitting change the distance at all? 2. Soul sand, honey and slime blocks as starting tees may effect the shots. 3. For the moving system, if you put ice under all 8 blocks of the water flows, will the armor stand be able to make the one block gap? 4. When queuing the next ball, instead of punching the balls sideways - what about using slime+piston to bounce them up? This way all the moving contraptions can be underground and the next ball gets bounced up to the surface. 5. Magma block to make hitting a shot harder.

Some science: does the run up speed affect it? If you stand on soulsand/ice? Are they affected by honey blocks? Can you hit them from a BOAT? Would make the course more unique :D
