I would add a tablespoon of and mix flour into your raisins, it will help distribute them throughout your bread, just an FYI.

I always soak my raisins for about 15 minutes before starting to bake, then dry on kitchen roll and dust with flour. The raisins end up spread throughout the baked goods.

I've enjoyed watching your video . I just received my cuisinart bread machine and have not yet used it for I want to learn from others before my first try at it. My first bread will be the raisin bread that you are demonstrating. I also purchased the same book, however, I noticed you are not following the exact measurements as required in the book. Is there a particular reason for this? One more question: have you ever made a brioche bread with your bread machine? Brioche is my utmost favorite bread and if I ever do make it.....I plan on just making the dough in the machine and baking in my conventional oven. This way I see what difference there is between the oven and bread machine.

I use an instant yeast, any type works well. Either add a single serving packet or 2 tsp.

Coat the raisins with a small quantity of the given amount of flour, and they shouldn't sink to the bottom 🎉

I wonder why we can't mix the ingredients before placing in the bread machine container? Also, how is your serving spoon a true measurement?

I'm just learning all this breadmaker stuff, but I find it very easy to measure and add ingredients one at a time like this. Mixing before hand seems like an extra step. I've also noticed the casual use of spoons on many vids. Somehow it seems to work. 😂 Go figure. Gonna try this one.

Your bread machine should beep at you when it’s time to put them in. It will be after the first rise. So it will be a while.

Probably around 45 minutes in if you don't have a raisin function which would beep.
