You have the best tutorial out here !

So very good. The theory gets deep quickly. The only way to get it, is through repetition and learning the number system. A little prayer would be helpful. God bless you for putting it out there for us. Some musicians can teach and others can play, you seem to do both! Thank you...

With Christmas season approaching, possibly Gospel Organ Reharms of Christmas Carols... Examples 1. Silent Night (Slow 3/4 or 12/8) 2. O Holy Night (Similar) 3. Joy to the World (Med-Up Shout) 4. O Come Immanuel (Med Steady 8ths) Go tell it on the Mountain. Mary had a Baby On a different subject, I'd like to see what an actual Gospel Player (or Performers) would do with the Godspell number "Day by Day" probably the best pop version was The 5th Dimension, also Jazz Organist Sonny Phillips covered it.

It sounds great! It's really just a few substitutions and not a full reharm. Would it be too much on the average ear to reharm the majority of the chords?
@TheGospelUniversity7 жыл бұрын
I would say so. I like to always come back to the 'normal' progressions, because then my substitutions & reharms pop out more. And it keeps the artist and the person writing the checks happy too!!! :-)
