Crazy to think this all started in some basement. Glad to see this channel is still going. I love watching people play board games.

Thanks for the video ! :) Hope that you will have fun playing this game as much as I had fun designing it. I've always been a big fan of team games and there are not enought according to me.

So glad you took the time to check out the video Charles, it was an honour to feature your design. I hope I pronounced your name mostly right :)

Great video. This looks crazy and awesome. I think we might have enough racing games in our collection, though... Formula D, Gravwell, K2, and I just bought the excellent Steampunk Rally a couple weeks ago. And I still have Titan Race on my wishlist, after seeing Pep show it off. Also, I've never understood the concept of a qualifying race or lap. You're racing to determine racing order for the race? Utter nonsense :P I actually think Formula D is supposed to have a qualifying lap, but we've never actually played more than one lap in a sitting, so I don't even know how the pit lane works. At least here there are intriguing tangible benefits for the next lap :)
@WatchItPlayed8 жыл бұрын
+Zero Bad Ideas You could certainly just skip the qualifying race and just jump to the full race in a game like this, if a group wanted.

Can you explain how the elf power works? We just played this tonight and the elf power felt very op.
@WatchItPlayed6 жыл бұрын
During the elf turn if they've used their power, they can pick up power-ups from adjacent spaces that they drive by. It's important to note though, that they cannot pick up a power-up from the same space more than once in a turn. Even if they were to later drive over that space, they can't get two power-ups from one space.

Hey hi there. When it says disccard, is it until the end of the round or until the end of the game?

Can you provide a time stamp so I know specifically what you're referring to?

Hi i watched your guide and thanks a lot for the explanation. But can you give me similar board games? I love to play such games with friends... I already have formula d, rush and bash. I'm really looking for games such as crazy karts of rush and bash.

Rodney, if you've already given this game a play or more can you make any comments on down-time? seems like with newer non-gamer players there could be a lot of down-time...
@WatchItPlayed8 жыл бұрын
+Leron Tolmachev I try to avoid commenting on those aspects or a game, as it's going to be very unique to the group. Resolving your board, really should go quickly, as all the individual actions are quick (and you often don't have cards on all the spaces anyway). There is a video here showing a full game being played by the Portal staff: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5yppnafq6xkn5Y

Thanks for checking out the video! We certainly hope you can get the information to decide one way or the other on whether a game would be a good fit :)

The game feels like wacky, crazy, random stuff happening...but more geared towards gamers because of the amount of details. Reminded me about Rattle Battle Loot (also from Portal Games), where the randomness and silliness of the dice throw didn't appeal to the more euro game thinky crowd (Power Grid, Terra Mystica etc.), but contained too many rules for a family/beginner game. I loved Rattle Battle Loot, and purchased Crazy Karts the moment it arrived to my local game store. I'm lucky to have friends who value the unique experiences and stories these games produce, but or ok with the amount of detailed rules to some degree. Also thanks to Rodney for another awesome tutorial! I came to check the video after reading the rulebook, in case I missed anything :)
