Crazy Kong is an arcade game created by Falcon, released in 1981.

It is similar to Nintendo's Donkey Kong. Although commonly believed to be a bootleg version, the game was officially licensed for operation in Japan when Nintendo couldn't keep up with demand at home (even though Donkey Kong was still released in Japan), and is based on different hardware. the game retains all the gameplay elements of Donkey Kong, but has all of the graphics redrawn and re-colourized.
Falcon breached their contract by exporting the cabinets overseas, leading Nintendo to revoke the license in January 1982. Like the original game, Crazy Kong had bootleg versions under such titles as Congorilla, Big Kong, Donkey King and Monkey Donkey.
There are two versions of the original: Crazy Kong and Crazy Kong Part II. The differences between them are in minor cinematic artefacts and bugs, colour palette choices and minor gameplay differences; the first part then shows no copyright or company name on the title screen. Both run on modified Crazy Climber hardware; there are other versions that run on Scramble, Jeutel, Orca, and Alca hardware. The official Crazy Kong came in two stand-up cabinets featuring a large and angry (rather than comic) ape; they were manufactured by Zaccaria (also Italian distributor of the game).
This Bootleg version of Falcon's "Crazy Kong - Part II" has additional in game music, also the original 'Warp to level 2' trick doesn't work.

Hmmm... this might be Scramble hardware, but at least part of the music and sound effects actually have been lifted from "Turtles", "Frogger", and "Devil Fish". More specifically, the jump sound is originally the sound from "Turtles" if another enemy turtle gets freed, the points chime is the sound from "Turtles" when you pick up more bombs, the running sound is the sound from "Turtles" if you lay a bomb, and Donkey Kong's groaning has turned into the sound from "Turtles" when an enemy turtle runs over a bomb. The jumping sound of the springs is actually the sound from "Devil Fish" (which shares some sounds with "Turtles") if you pick up an item there. Also, I recognize two level background songs from "Turtles" and the Yankee Doodle from "Frogger". In fact, the original Donkey Kong never had such sophisticated music, and the Crazy Kong on Crazy Climber hardware used music even more sparingly.
