About 40 years ago I would watch professional players video trying to glean some small tip to improve my golf game. After viewing Jack Nicklaus's vidio,he presented me with the most brilliant tip I could ever hope for, "If you play like me,you will play a better game of golf". Thanks Jack, truer words were never spoken........RF

He didn’t lose a masters playoff. He lost a us open playoff in a yellow shirt.

As Faldo says, he was the prototypical us open player just like curtis strange and hale irwin who both won us opens for their only majors. I cant remember andy north as a player to judge him cause he did win 2 us opens. Then there were the perfect players for the masters; greg norman, fred couples, ernie els and mickleson. Norman famously was tortured by frustration at Augusta. Couples did win his one masters and had a great run in 98 along with david duval but got robbed by mark omeara. Ernie els also perfectly suited for augusta and came close but had to settle for us and british opens. And then there is Phil the Thrill! Wins his first tournament still in college in 91. Is a top player thru the 90s and early 2000s but cant win the big one while Woods is cleaning up! Then in 2004 he grabs the green jacket right out of Ernies hands and he is off to the races. He goes on to fullfill the promise of amazing talent. Phil is so good his greatest tournament is one he lost! In 2016 at 46, he waxes the whole british open field by 10 shots! Oops, not the entire field. There should have been a dozen of those bobbies at the eighteenth hole to arrest Stenson as he finished for the greatest theft in sports history! Stenson was very impressive, always high ranked but a flop in majors. So how did he pull that off when phil played so great. It was just plain wrong.

Hope Ludwig stays clean shaven. Hate the beardy look.Johnson started it. Macho no! Posers. But …back to Sir Nick. .. Matured like fine wine. Great inspiration and excellent raconteur.

The fact that Joe Buck compares a Bullseye putter to a putt-putt putter speaks volumes about how little he knows about golf....Sad, actually.

Best British golfer in the last 60 years, but one of the worst story tellers!

The British press were brutal to him. Called him “Foldo” because he couldn’t win a Major. He sure showed them! Great golfer…

I heard a tale about Nick Faldos cheapness, and I'm assured it's true - he was playing a round and his caddy's shoes started falling apart and the sole of the shoe was flapping as they walked the course - much to Sir Nick's annoyance, so they get to the 9th, which brought them right buy the pro-shop and Faldo pulls out this massive wad of cash, the caddies thinking - oh nice - he's gonna buy me a new pair of shoes at the shop - whereupon Faldo takes off the rubber band wrapped round the notes and hands that to the caddie saying "here - fix that f'in shoe" 😃😃😃
