Crazy NHL A.I. Generated Mascots!!!

My initial thoughts of all the mascots: 1:25 Anaheim: Donald Duck divorced Daisy and went on to become a professional hockey player for the Ducks. I give it a 6/10. It’s accurate to their Disney history, but Wild Wing is far superior. 1:45 Arizona: Howler recently got fired and took some drugs with Wile E. Coyote to distract himself from the fact that the Yotes may be perusing a better future in Houston. It looks like he’s been sleep-deprived for 6 months. Cool looking mascot though. 7/10. 2:09 Boston: He looks scared. His PTSD was most likely caused by an encounter with a Florida Panther. Not digging it. 2/10 2:49 Buffalo: Holy shit! Put the coke down, bro! You look more like a Praying Mantis than a Buffalo. 2/10 3:16 Carolina: Ever wondered what Hunter of the Oilers would look like if he was a serial killer? Well, here ‘ya go. Looks pretty good, though. 7/10 4:17 Columbus: As a Kings fan, I’d much rather enjoy waterboarding myself with a Sharks jersey than being anywhere within 15 feet of this guy. My real question is: “How the hell did Jim Henson go from the Muppets to this?!” -♾️/10. 4:43 Calgary: Not my cup of tea; or in this case, bucket of chicken. Looks like kids would find him enjoyable. 6.7/10 5:11 Chicago: The red angry bird is a Blackhawks fan? 2/10 5:41 Colorado: Nothing about this screams “Avalanche.” Instead, it tells me: “GET AS FAR AWAY AS YOU CAN.” 3/10 6:16 Dallas: I’m getting rabid just from looking at this guy. However, boy does that jersey SLAP! 6/10 6:52 Detroit: Can someone explain to me the fur at the bottom. Bro also slapped some redvines on his head and said: “Let’s do it. Let’s trade Bertuzzi. 4/10 7:18 Edmonton: WHAT ON GOD’S GREEN EARTH IS THAT?! That thing is scarier than the fuckin’ Draisaitl/McDavid line! -1/10! 8:03 Florida: Looks like the least intimidating of Florida’s Panther Species. It can probably still kick some Bruin ass though. I like it! 8/10 8:24 LA: I wonder what he won that crown for. Probably for scariest thing to ever be associated with the Kings (Besides Gretzky). If this ever became the Kings mascot, I’d just walk over to Orange County and the rest would be history. 1/10 8:49 Minnesota: Basically what Neil said. 2/10 9:17 Montreal: A bear with the… Habs? Why? Just… why? You could associate the Kraken with coffee and it’d make more sense. Once again, 2/10 9:39 New Jersey: Ok… this may be the best one I’ve seen so far. Sure, it may give me nightmares well into my midlife, but Holy Jesus! This mascot is awesome! 9.5/10! 10:21 Nashville: Aaaaand just like that, we return to absolute dogshit. 3/10. 10:44 NYI: This looks like Elmo’s adoptive father. Also, I’m not the best guesser, but I can only assume that the logo on the jersey is the logo of the beer he used to chug and throw at Elmo. Kids might like him though. 6/10 11:34 NYR: Again with the bears! Why not Lady Liberty? Or even maybe even a Pigeon? 4/10. 11:54 Ottawa: EEYikes! This looks like a crossbreed between Zoidberg, a chicken, and a wolf spider. This makes me actually kinda like 3D Senator. -3/10 12:27 Philadelphia: Did Gritty lose a bet with Iceburgh in which he had to shave his head and beard bald? It looks like what would happen if the Annoying Orange was made into a horror adaptation. 2/10 12:58 Pittsburgh: Since when did the Penguins go so bankrupt that they had to by an inflatable snowman from Big Lots? 0/10 13:22 Seattle: Wow. That is crazy. I do like it’s concept, but the execution makes me want to pee my pants. 7/10 for creativity. 13:40 San Jose: Ah, yes. My favorite team. The San Jose Icebergs. All I’m going to say is: real Sharks that KILL people are possibly friendlier than this monstrosity. Also, judging by what that looks like, I wouldn’t necessarily think that’s a bulge. 1/10 13:58 Stl: This is what the CBJ mascot should’ve been. Just don’t wear a Blackhawks jersey in St. Louis or else this guy will be on your ass quicker than you can say “It took them 52 years to win a cup.” Pretty badass though. 8/10 14:11 Tampa Bay: Crunchman if he were cooler. I think it’s pretty nice. 7.9/10 14:29 Toronto: Who needs a Polar Bear when you got a…………….. Turkey that looks like a retarded Pokémon……………. Get this damn thing out of my sight NOW! 2/10 14:54 Vancouver: Mamma Mia. This thing is the exact opposite of what Vancouver actually is. And it’s a BEAUTIFUL city! I’ve been there. 1/10 15:12 Vegas: This is the best one. No contest. It looks like a transformer too. And that’s awesome! 15/10! 15:48 Winnipeg: This looks like some rejected Paper Mario character. I do like the jersey he’s wearing. 6/10 15:59 Washington: His jersey says “Anals”; because that’s most likely what he’d do to you in the prison shower. Ok, that one was too far. 4/10.

6:16 The eyes on this one kind of remind me of the animal characters in the text-to-video website from 14 years ago, Xtranormal. Like, if the bulldog from Tom & Jerry and one of the female Xtranormal animals had a love child, this mascot might be the offspring. 7:17 Put a Montreal Canadiens uniform on this one and call him Coach Frenchy! The host of the Hockey Nation Live Show has a helmet kind of like that one, except it's all white. 13:58 My favorite--kid-friendly and cool at the same time. 16:55 Second-favorite, even if the snout on this one reminds me too much of the Space Cows from Sesame Street (mahna mahna). 18:15 I can understand why this one would be a favorite, but I can only see it being used in pre-game introductions, with this mascot leading the players into battle. Cheerleading or interacting with fans, not so much. I also wonder if the AI took a page from Power Rangers: Mystic Force (if so, good on the AI--I mention this because the armor reminds me of the armor Koragg wore in that series).

The Blackhawks mascot looks like he has just started to feel like he is constipated big time to me. There is a lot of creepiness about the majority of these A.I Mascots & what the hell is going on with the Logos many of them are way off what they should look like. The Golden Knights A.I mascot is the best but the croch area is a little bit questionable on him. I also thought The Oilers mascot looked fairly realistic. Lots of terrible mascots & a few good ones but more terrible than good for me. Keep Safe Neil.

Turn this into a try not to laugh challenge, I dare you. Impossible, I say. The Sharks mascot looks like it’d be on the news for the wrong reasons, I’d avoid it at all costs. The two Flames Mascots are a good representation of fire in mascot form. The Devils just needs the proper jersey. The real maple leaves is a cool touch for the Leafs mascot. The Vegas transformer looks awesome, don’t know why teams couldn’t go for something more like that. Just a few of my thoughts on these, really enjoyed this video!
