I know barely anyone will remember or even know, but the Coyotes used to have a second mascot names Pierre the Snowman. He was mainly used for promotional material. He was an iconic part of my childhood when we went to games in the 2000s. I believe there is still some of the videos left on KZbin

Ever since the Jets started wearing their alternate jersey (the blue version of their heritage classic jersey) Benny has made his return and is at every jets game sporting the jets alternate jersey along with Mick e Moose

Curious how many mascots actually skate on ice. Do they all? I always thought that’s got to be quite a feat for the performer inside the costume.

Yeah, they all do, at least when it comes to the Mascot Showdown game during All-Star weekend. Whether or not the skating performer is the same as the game night performer is anyone’s guess. I would assume they take ownership of the character and learn how to do it all but I can imagine it’s not for everyone.
