Great as always Graeme. Thank you. Appreciate the time and effort you put in to bring us shows like this, enjoyed every second, i also like the midweek shows you put on as come Wednesday i start to have withdrawal symptoms. I think we your supporters should give you a youtube knighthood or something along those lines for your dedication to UK Angling in all forms. If anyone else agrees with this please hit the thumbs up and the like button and maybe we could correspond to arrange this for all Graeme's hard work and dedication. What do the rest of Graeme fans think of this idea?

Best angling on the internet. I feel sure I have heard Zander are in the Thames where I fish.
@jonfox19195 жыл бұрын
Definitely Zander in the Thames, I hooked one at Walton Bridge a few years ago deadbaiting for pike. When Graeme says Bury is one of the few places to catch them I guess he's talking deliberately stocked lakes.

36.53 they are a stunning colourful breed called Egyptian geese. or goose as the case my be, loving the tackle shack already anticipating the first of many videos to come.
@johnwhit94715 жыл бұрын
Those birds at Bury Hill are Egyptian Geese; the ones that look like they have heavy eye shadow. The zander there are unusual in that they will take sea deadbaits, where on other waters they will only take freshwater baits. They do also like coloured water and I've caught them in torrential downpours. After dark they seem to come right in to the banks and you can fish under the rod tips; probably coming in to mop up discarded baits. Another great video Graeme.

A good super low resistance method I use for perch on my club waters is. Instead of a bobbin, I find a small 3-4 inch long twig that is maybe 1/2 inch think, and pin the line to the floor underneath the reel spool. The wind doesn’t affect it with it being on the deck, and the slightest pull on the line and the stick moves allowing the line to freely be taken from the spool.

I used to fish for zander on the fens solidly 20 years ago and only just getting back into them again. I had them feeding through the night, dusk and dawn where the hot times but once like you have got them focused in one stretch using groundbait and bits of roach and rudd mixed in u can hold a shoal of them till they move, stillwater/large sailing pits is easier to focus them than on a 13 foot fen river when its pumping through... livebaits help too, but pike can be a pest. I have had all my largest zander with big hit fishing using small eel sections and smelt....using a cage feeder and simliar mix ubhave made with some added extras lol... keep up the good work and livingbthe new shack...

Before there was bite alarms we used to use a two pence coin balanced on the spool with the bail arm open and a tin underneath, line was taken and clonk went the coin in the tin, still had to stay up though! Love bury hill used to be one of my favourite waters. Had my best carp from about 3 swims downs love the vids, tight lines my friend.

For those of us who appreciate the history and memories of this place, they are going to be closing the fishery soon. I for one will be going to fish at least one more time for the bream on the main lake and for the Crucians on Milton. Sad times but natural venues are certainly suffering due to commercial so lets all go down there and each give it a send off

Nice video Graham, well done. I know what you mean about old bones and all nighters, bit of a struggle isn't it. I chanced a short session on the river yesterday, it rained from start to finish but still managed a good catch or roach and dace on the feeder. Keep it up mate, the vids are class.

I would recommend a Mulligan bed for the tackle shack just in case you might get chucked out of the house by the wife. You need to get some climbing hooks like linemen use and just climb that tree and trim it up and make a video called awesome tree trimming, I know it will be great I can see it now, 60' in the air, hanging on with one hand trimming trees like it you are standing on the ground.
