After you sew the first strips together, do you need to press each seam before sewing the next one? I made this before, but my strips stretched out a little and the runner was a little lopsided.

Hi Mary, Yes, you will want to press the seams to one side after sewing. This helps prevent some distortion. We also recommend you spray starch your fabrics before you begin cutting them. The stiffness in the fabric also helps them from being stretched when sewn or pressed. Our production sewing room here at Nancy's Notions uses the Mary Ellen's Best Press.
