Four bucks! That's a crazy haul! Too bad about the Cole Porter. I love buying random records based on the cover, sometimes you get a winner (and sometimes a stinker). Keep it coming dude.

That Kenny Barron LP is unknown and fire. Just showed it again in my jazz tag. Nice pickup!

Hello Aidan I didn't get into Chick Corea until the 1980s. I had a flatmate back then who liked his music. Gordon Lightfoot had a number one on the American charts in 1974 called Sundown. Cool song. I like Melanie , she also had a number one song titled Brand New Key in 1972. Stevie Wonder is amazing, his seventies albums are works of art. I like his 1969 hit Yester Me, Yester you. I have alot of favorite songs from that year. Check out Sly and the Family Stones Hot fun in the Summertime from 69 for example It's on KZbin. The 1970s was a good time for music. Soul, Funk, Disco, Punk Rock, Reggae etc, a time when artists were being creative and experimenting. Quincy Jones is so cool, he produced Michael Jackson's 1979 hit album Off the Wall. Jazz is timeless. I like listening to Fats Wallers piano playing. Although it's very old it still sounds fresh. You have good taste in music Aidan.

Great dig! Unfortunately I live in the Bible Belt and the only records I can find are gospel, Laurence welk and Time Records!! I would love to hit a hole like that. Now the only problem you have is trying to exceed that find. Btw, the chic is a good wall hanger. 12x12 Frame from Hobby Lobby. Keep them coming! Mark

Thanks man! Unfortunate about the Bible Belt, maybe you could take a trip I might be planning to do one for buying records in a couple months. Thanks for the tip on the Chick!

It's true about Jamal live at the Pershing --I have a copy that's pretty wrecked....that's because every subsequent copy I've found has been even more destroyed!

Bill Evans Quintessence. And I believe the Herbie Hancock on Columbia is called Man-Child. Very jealous of that Donald Byrd as well.

Hi, mate. Do you thoroughly clean your records before playing them ? And, if you don't mind me asking - how did you get into vinyl ?
@bucks_records2 жыл бұрын
I use a cleaning liquid and a rag to clean them. No matter how hard I try its not gonna make the disc like it would coming out of a vacuum, maybe I should invest in one. My dad started collection about 4 years ago (he collects reissues) and he had a vertigo copy of You Don’t Mess Around With Jim - Jim Croce and I thought it was the coolest thing ever
@aussierob71772 жыл бұрын
@@bucks_records Thanks for that Aidan. I use a Nitty Gritty vacuum cleaner for cleaning my records.Sometimes you can get a used one on ebay for a fraction of the cost of a new one. Anyhow, cheers man.

@@bucks_records What cut? I'm not finding it.
@DorianPaige002 жыл бұрын
"Steps-what was" Found it!! The cd has about another album worth of cuts. I'm surprised they didn't issue this as a double Lp.
@bucks_records2 жыл бұрын
@@DorianPaige00 ahhhh ok ok I see, yeah on Spotify it has a lot more tracks too, the original I show towards the end is only 1 disc though

Would be great, if you hold the record around five seconds to the camera that everyone can read the title
@SiliconMolybdenumNitrogen2 жыл бұрын
You can put your hand in the sleeve and gently take out the record. You just put your finger s all over the disc and yank it out either scuffing the disc or scratching it. You wouldn’t be allowed within ten foot of my collection 😂😂😂

True, just not as talked about as Blue Note, Impulse, Riverside, etc.
