I try to maintain friendships with my exes, it doesn't really work for everyone. They usually think I just want a backup for a booty call. To me it's like "I know your whole family & all your friends"; should I cut you and all these people out of my life because WE couldn't make it work as a couple? I'll admit though It's a little different when you're the one who was dumped. It takes some time, you will be hurt. It's like going through loss, but if you remain friends you're not losing anyone.

It's tough for sure. When Sarah said something about how she doesn't understand how you could just "cut someone out of your life that you loved"...It's hard to get your point across in 60 seconds. Never in a million years did I think she would air my voicemail. In MY experience love doesn't go away right away. It's fades with time.. sometimes during a relationship. For me, some ended and I had no choice for any further communication. Those were definitely hard to get over..and were my own fault. But like I said in the voicemail, when someone no longer serves me, I cut them out cold turkey. My therapist always says that's what dating is for.... DATING. You try it and if it doesn't work out that's okay. But I can't move on AND remain friends with someone who has hurt me or someone I've hurt. I guess I should keep going to therapy for my husbands sake 😭🤣🤣🤣

@@chelsearosecosta7421 LOL ... Hey I get it. You date someone who betrays your trust and it's kind of difficult to still care about them. There are people in my life that I cut out, because they proved themselves to not be my friends - and I think it was absolutely the best thing to do. It's probably better to forgive them and move on, but we all have our own coping mechanism.

That story of the dream was indeed so beautiful :) Being interested in others and even objects is beautiful. And yes it's so well said and also so weird but relatable that when you were distressed sometimes you can feel both beauty and sadness so much more strongly... Very strange phenomenon.

The term “master bedroom first appeared long after slavery was ended in a Sears catalog in the 1920's. Not every word or term that might have a plausible connection to slavery is actually rooted in slavery as is the case here. But it’s easy to convince the generally uninformed that is the case. Don’t just believe as true when you hear something because it sounds plausible. Master has a meaning of it's own that long predates slavery. Master can mean someone who has mastered certain skills, etc. There are "master" keys meaning they work on all locks in a building. Master in the context of a bedroom means primary bedroom. It's just not connected to slavery at all. BTW: I’m totally left politically, way left in fact. But we don’t need to over react or go along with every suggestion because it seems as though it might be true as in this case because it isn't. Slavery was monstrously horrific, but we don’t need to make stuff up about it. The truth is plenty horrific on it’s own.

"Master bedroom" post-dates institutionalized slavery by about sixty years, having first been used in the 1920s, and "jimmies" for sprinkles is only used in New England and surrounding areas and started in 1930, apparently called such by a cake company after one of their employees. Neither of these terms are rooted in racism.

Just think of a Beloved Spiritual Master's bedroom instead of the very narrow, very negative "slave" reference. More likely, the Laird of the English Estate's (the Master) bedroom carried over for American single family house blueprints. The Master of Your Fears Bedroom.

I'm burning my Master's Degree right now for you Sarah. "Master" bedroom isn't a slavery connotation (well it probably became that way), but it actually just refers to the "man of the house" as the "master" of the house ... so it's sexist. ;P

Get some appendages instead of eating all that peanut butter. (But probably the earlier mentioned nightmare of voices is more accurate as texting becomes more prevalent and people actually calling shakes the human soul)
