On the QJT board where you have AK, you can size up on that board texture, especially in a live low stakes game. If he raises the big sizing, just call and evaluate turns. If it's a brick, then you can check jam when he likely continues betting with the second nuts and will be more pot committed and could easily talk himself into a call given the pot odds, given there's a flush draw, and the fact that you can have all sets and it's a draw heavy board.

K9 would have been a straight, not top pair. But I actually like the shove, especially vs the hands (at 1-3) you were up against. Nuts vs 2nd nuts vs flush draw... yeah, I wanna get it in vs those hands. Im also in the DMV area. I play @ Live! I've actually never been to MGM. But if you ever have a meet up game, I'd come! Great content as always!

A♠︎K♣︎ hand vs K9off w/ the flopped straight you played perfectly. 3rd player calls once you call and he might get there on the turn w/ his flush draw. Always win the pot when you got it especially when there’s 2 cards left multi-way & you’re out of position. Good session bro!!

Depending if the other players have any idea what’s going on, you could have just potted the flop for $45 or 2/3 for $30+ for the reasons you said in the video - Unblocking Flush draws, two pair, sets of TT/JJ (maybe in range - I play there all the time), 89 for bottom straight, pair + straight draws etc. . . . . you could also check raise if the other players are aggressive to get more money in. At 2/5 maybe even take the same line depending who’s there.

I don’t hate the shove specifically because it’s a 1/3 game. It seems like a slight overplay, but overall, the action in 1/3 is usually bet, 3bet, all in. 4 bets are super rare.

@@MacksBet28 AK when you flopped a straight with 2 hearts on the board
@mattstieg53885 ай бұрын
AK hand: I'd have led for 2/3 if not full pot, given that flop likely hits them in some way to build it for eventual stacks. Your range is wide, as is theirs, so calls more likely to that bet then a very strong 3 bet (essentially a check raise but even stronger w AI). You lost value getting them to fold early. Q: Would you want an all in call by a nut flush draw on that made Broadway flop? That answer dictates your play. Id want the call for his stack + more dead money on the Q9 top pair open ended who woul likely call & fold turn when you bet again (assuming no heart turn).

I thought the 7h5h hand was played very well. Only thing you could’ve done different was raise again on the flop but like you said shouldn’t go broke in a limped pot (and a lot of players are willing to stack off w but flush draw no matter pot odds)
@MacksBet284 ай бұрын
I definitely don't want to go broke in a limp pot. My draw wasn't close to the nuts so not gonna blast when very easily could be dominated

On the AsKc was always a call and revalue the turn card, you definitely lost value as you had the nuts. If a heart came out on the turn, then that's when you have a decision. I'm no expert, it's how I would have played it. Well done, as long as you are having fun 👍

Don’t hate the all-in with the flopped straight. Probably not the best play as it left money on the table. But some money now is better than no money later. I’m sure a lot of people will disagree and I will agree with them but you gotta mix up your play anyways. I am sure you are getting people telling you to bet more. Which isn’t bad advice but you gotta stay true to you. The last thing you want to do is become rampage who never met a bet a he didn’t like. 😂 Keep the hustle going.
@MacksBet285 ай бұрын
Lmao well if I knew his exact hand I would call. But unfortunately normally his raise is gonna be alot stronger than what it was ( set lower straight. Pair plus flush and straight draw) ty though i won't disappoint
@shawnfogelman68475 ай бұрын
The AK hand, your flop bet sizing should have been more along the lines of $45 rather than the $15 you threw out there. When your opponent made it $45, you killed all of your action when you ripped it all in. You should have made it $150 that way, so long as the turn card is not a heart, you can shove for the rest of his stack. Also might get a crying call from the OMC with K9. I think you missed out on quite a bit of value by shoving. IMO
@MacksBet282 ай бұрын
Your right that board was so wet and dynamic that a pot size bet woulda been. Better. And if he raised to 150 I can flat evaluate or jam cause then he'll already have 35% of his chips in. Whoops

I would check the 77 flop, even with 7c. Monotone boards are one of the worst flops for the preflop raiser, and youre out of position. I would check my entire range including flushes to the button, and id call a flop bet with 77 (no club)

I think you’re playing way too scared big dog. The 75hh fold was good, but some of these spots got really need to be betting like the A4 hand. When your opponent checks twice they very rarely have top pair. For the AK hand I would just call the flop and look to get it in on the turn. That being said the flop 3 bet into two players looks ultra strong. I mean a guy folded the second nuts to you on the flop lol. Also pretty hard to balance that play. If I was gonna flop 3 bet I’d go to like 175 and look to pile the turn. The raise would set up less than a pot sized jam.
@MacksBet285 ай бұрын
No if you look at the hand. I stated his hand wrong. You can see what he fold. He had Q9 which is top pair and open ended straight draw. But yes the line was super strong but with another person in the hand I just decided fo go with it. If I woulda known the guy in the middle was shallow I woulda just called. But with all that being said I think you are right ✅️
@nicholi27895 ай бұрын
@@MacksBet28ohhh gotcha that makes a little more sense. I was gonna say you must have a super tight image if he folded the second nuts to you on the flop. I’d be curious what Bart Hansen would say about it. I think non all in 3 bet would be okay. Like $150-$200, Either that or just a flat.

Very good overall, but missing some value with passivity at times. Sure, gonna run into a slow play now n then, but can dump it sooner if resistance & often still get to see more cards to suck out at worse when they just call. Ex. vs AQ hand.
