We had a chance to head down to Kenora Ontario and join some friends for a Sherp adventure. So glad we made the trip, just amazing to see what the Sherp is capable of in the sketchiest of ice conditions lol. Hope you guys like the video, click that thumbs up and leave a comment if ya did! Thank you all for watching!

with respect from Russia: if you reduce the pressure in tires to 30, the Sherp will not break the snow and climbing the snow mountain will be much easier, not with acceleration, but in tension on first gear

Nordwind Siberia isn't *nothern* region, as, say, Finland. It's *eastern* region, in the center of the largest continent. So, where I live (Krasnoyarsk), -50C is THE very exterme. Usually, it's -20C outside of the city. And +26..33C in summer. Long-term annual average is exactly 0C. Modern sports outdoor garment solves environmental hardships with no much problems. But, of course, it's insane to travel in winter without careful planning, support and communication. And, you know, look at Khazahstan. They experience +50C in summer and -50C in winter, every year. And can withstand it without AC. Humans are awesome :-)

Amazing machine. Other watchers: what would be the top three modifications you would do on the Sherp? Ill kick off: 1. Add a board/plank just below the open window to avoid and water to rush inside when dropping into the water. 2. Add a metal pipe around the open window to avoid breaking it in a forrest (e.g. when pivoting near trees). 3. Assuming its cold with window open: heating?

When I ever win a lottery, I'm gonna buy a Sherp. Then have it converted to electric engines in the hollow hubs, battery packs in place of engine and tank, and solar panels on the roof. Happy camping.
@ostacruiser
@ostacruiser 5 жыл бұрын
That would be awesome!
@tubularap
@tubularap 5 жыл бұрын
@@ostacruiser -- Thanks for reacting. I love your videos. I may be too naive in how easy vs complicated it would be, but since oldtimers are being converted, it should be possible. If SHERP ATV themselves will ever bring an electric version to market I am convinced it will be sold widely. For rescue missions as well as for recreation and outdoor adventure it makes sense to not be reliant on fuel that you can not 'harvest' along the way that you're travelling (I know, Sherp has many tanks and thus a very large range). Pop in a gas-generator for when the sun is not shining. Or bring a pedal-powered unit, because when there is nothing, anything is something, even if it will take a while (and pedaling keeps you warm ;-) Instead of waiting for the miracle of a lottery-win, I now actually want to save up for a Sherp. I used to be 'infatuated' with the Unimog. Yes, that one is street-legal and can climb impressively. But the Sherp is complete in the wild, it's amphibious !! And it looks just perfect.

@@trzarector -- Good to hear you have the idea too. Before I suggested to put electric engines in the hubs, but I have come to my senses. Ofcourse the engines should not be outside, put it dry inside. Therefor this simple hack: Keep the Sherp drive-train as it is now, only swap the fuel-engine with a single powerful electric motor. The battery-packs take the space of the tank, and can be spread out into all corners and niches down there. Done. Only problem left : How to fill up the tyres when there is no exchaust fume anymore ?

Just a Heads up, first of all, that detector is ancient as fuck. Second of all, it spews RF emissions like crazy and is detectable to the Spectre Elite RDD that the RCMP and OPP use... You don't want to get popped in Ontario (especially) or Manitoba for running that. Either get yourself an Escort Redline, Beltronics Sti Magnum with updated BS/RDR Firmware and seg it, or the new Uniden R3 (best option for WS mount right now)...or a remote system... ALL 100% undetectable by Spectre. - Alberta driver in Eastern provinces.

As a long time Attex, Max and Sierra Trail Boss owner, and a skis steer fanatic this is like both worlds in one machine. Just saw one on a trailer here in Florida and had to figure if I was dreaming? I don't even need to go on a off road adventure, just let me run one in an empty field for a little while. One question, how can anyone afford these things? Is this the millionaire's off road club or something? I see videos of several of these in Russia and think the economy there must be amazing!
