Honestly same, Correct me if I'm wrong but the grandparents weren't even on the same side as the brothers, and their names weren't even on the will. As selfish as it sounds, it would've been more respectful for the person to just keep it to themselves, since they weren't sure of what their grandparents wanted them to do with the money.

I might have thought about giving them initially but after that ruckus I would not only not give them anything but I would also ask for the 50k already given AND sue them for slander. Oh and if they don't give back the 50k, if there's any way I can get it back through law I would. And if not, then I guess I can forget about it. Sueing them for slander is a must though. And every social media where they called out to me, I'll reply with the truth.
