I would imagine most of the actions of these goalkeepers are what trainers/coaches teach and tell them to do depending on the circumstances because it's better to get an expulsion than letting the enemy team score. Especially when it could end up in a loss in an important game.

Thanks for the video. This took me back to my younger days. I joined a team once as a goalkeeper, and on the very first match a defender comes and tells me, See that big dude over there, whenever u go to get the and he's around, Try to elbow him and knock him out. And i thought to myself, im here to defend the goal, not be a KungFu artist. So as the ball came and i jumped to get the ball, and this situation had the big guy and the defender in the air at once. in a split second i decided, im gonna elbow my defender. He jumped up in pure fury and wondered wtf is going on, why you do this!. i told him straight, but its ok to elbow somebody else but not you right ? you little "#""!. If you dont want it done to you, dont do it or try to get other to do it for you. Now is it right what i did, OFC not. but at least he never did something like that again and learned.

Keepers shouldn’t get priority on fouls, but unfortunately do when it comes to space. Blatant fouls, no matter how, should be given as penalties. Unless there’s one beforehand.

If he is deemed to stop a promising attack, he will only be issued a yellow card." Thus, I am surprised most of these weren't given as yellow. Referees do seem very harsh on the keepers.
