Going mad on my Behringer Poly D. This synths solo was a lot of fun. Backing Track by @Benjamin Harrison. #synthesizer #minimoog #behringer #improvisation #solo #madness #analog #behringerpolyd #monophonic #gear

Great to hear somebody actually play the instrument and not just a sequencer.

This is what I wanna see when I type in “synthesizer” in the search bar! Not endless boring sponsored gear reviews! Let’s hear how the thing can take a beating!!!!

OH HECK YEAH!!!! Jam the shit out of that Poly-D :D As a Poly-D owner myself i can totally feel that enthusiasm because this Synth is sheer perfection and giving us synth nerds at least a chance to play a Minimoog for only a fraction of the moon-prices that Moog demands.

You could have done with a cape to wear whilst playing that solo LOL! Being a pauper I only have the model D but I have my peepers set on a Pro 800 or I might hang on and save the difference for the Poly D

Oh I know but they are selling for 9k and up! I'd rather spend 1500 on a poly D! 9K-13K is a ridiculous price for a minimoog. People gotta stop paying these outrageous prices! If everybody stopped buying gear for a year, ALL the prices would drop back down. 30k for a Jupiter 8?? 100k for a CS80??!! Get real!@@uv77mc85

@logicalblackman8228Ай бұрын
Or you can get the model D desktop unit and just hook it up to a controller (for way cheaper). It’s a full-on Minimoog.

Great solo and great sound. One question : is it a Deepmind 12 that I see on your left ?
@martinpohl27476 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes- a deepmimd. Good eye bro! Love it for pads and space stuff. 🙂
@fabzeman26144 ай бұрын
@@martinpohl2747 Got a deepmind too, and I must say I love it. And I already said, I love your Poly D sound. Do you use all 4 oscillators ? Do you mix saws and squares, or are there only saws ? Do you use any effects beside ? I would love to see your settings.
@martinpohl27474 ай бұрын
@@fabzeman2614honestly, I don't remember exactly. This video is from 2020, when I had lots of time because of no gigs in covid times. I think, I just used 3 oscillators, the internal chorus effect, and some reverb from the Polara pedal, that you can see on the desk. I guess i had the pitch bend wheel set to 1 octave range, which is cool for spaced out bendings.

Yeah, but expresive power of synths can't be expressed well this way. Expresion of synths is contained in the name it self, synthesis. What is exiciting is the fact that you can extract sounds that nobody ever heard and change the character of it following the artistic, and expressive needs. That is the true artistic power of synthesis, not just pretending that you play piano.
