I have used the Tanchjim One 3.5 and I actually really think it's great especially at its price. Probly a little underrated, but also understandable considering the amount of options available at that price. But very versatile set while still being fun. And man, REALLY wanna get my hands on the LM. Gonna wait a few more months so the price hopefully will go down a little, but yeah, definitely copping them this year.

I guess that everyone wants to win the Simgot EA500LM! Me too. It seems to be head and shoulders above everything else, not just at its price range, but several tiers above it, too. I've yet to hear or read a review that doesn't give it high praise. Must be causing a lot of consternation amongst IEM manufacturers in the lower-mid price range who now have to compete with it. Great that you've got one to give away to a lucky subscriber.

In my opinion, the twin Castors (Silver and Black) nailed it in terms of price to performance in the DD-only budget space. Castor Black sounds like a Harman mild-V signature emphasizing on the mid-bass impact but sacrificing some upper mids and highs technical performance. It is the fun and enjoyable set. My favorite is the Castor Silver though bec it sounds more U-shaped (bass switches on) with fuller mids and very detailed and spacious highs for a 2DD IEM. It is the analytical set.

i got both the Zero Red and Blue and love them. i recommend the Tanchjim One DSP to my producer and he really like them so far. Castor i tried them and they're good but i won't buy them cause i got bad experience with some sets years ago. the rest i haven't tried but someone at my monthly meet will probably get them....😂 glad you're feeling better and your voice has fully returned to normal

@@rishisagar My library is very similar to HBB's. Even though I'm a basshead and I know these aren't, I'd settle for some sub-bass lift. I have seen other reviews and they agree that the bass is more on the balanced-warm side.

Oh wow.. I didn't expect the Castor on this list. The bass version got decent feedback from other reviewers as well, so it's fair to see it on this list. Seeing the G10 here is unexpected as well. It seemed to graph well, but I didn't think it'd make it on a list. Good for EPZ honestly. Fun fact about the G10, it actually glows in the dark partially when exposed to blue light for a bit. Super cool imo

After your Tanchjim One DSP video they became SOLD OUT everywhere. The stock sound was good for the price, but then I stumbled upon an EQ in your forum post from "Riku" that was outstanding. One thing i changed was to not scoop out 250Hz as much. If anyone is interested in "Rikus" DSP profile, it is. 20Hz 7.4G 0.6Q / 250Hz -2.2G 1Q / 3000KHz -2.5G 2Q / 5500KHz -2G 2Q / 12000KHz 5G 3Q.

The EA500LM just arrived yesterday. It’s very good. Agree with what I’ve heard about the gold nozzles. I can hear why you’d rec other sets for hip hop (paid in full!!!). The EPZ 530 will arrive this week. Happy you mentioned it. Looking forward to the review on that and the Mega5EST. I haven’t heard the red or the blue… My bad on both sets. I do have the One and like what I can do with the DSP cable. What would be very cool is if parametric EQs from Squiglink could be loaded into the DSP chip via the app! That would be killer!

Having let my right eardrum heal for a few months now after an accidental self-inflicted mishap, I added the Simgot LM500LM to my list to get this year. Being vented helps and I am going to also test them with the TANGZU Tang SANCAI ear tips in hopes of further reducing pressure on my eardrum, to make it easier to tolerate them. I have heard nothing but praise from this set from reviewers and I honestly think it'll be the more affordable all-rounder set to beat in the price/performance ratio this year.
