The design of the headphones reminds me of the cooler master MH751/752, which was also similar to another headphone IIRC (The Takstar?). The MH751/752 at the time was very much praised because of the sound that was very good for a gaming headset and closer to an "audiophile"-ish sound headphone.

I don’t know what it is with headphones but I’ve tried about 30 pairs and I’ve never heard one that I quite liked. Maybe I’m too used to the in your head IEM sound. Thanks for the rec, will look into it!
