The way he put the headlights in the oven, took the glass off and painted them was slick. I just spent $400 on my 4runner headlights and they look nothing like his....excellent job. If I had his leveel of skill, I would open up a 4runner transformation shop. For 4runner diehards like me, i will spend money on my 1997 4runner. My kids grew up in it. Lots of memories, zero problems and still running as strong as ever..

It blows my mind that people sell cars dirty, literally can lose 1000s of dollars cause they won’t spend a day washing and vacuuming, or spend 100 bucks to have someone do it. If they won’t put in the effort to vacuum it they definitely didn’t service it, best you can hope for is they changed the oil

Much prefer these kinds of videos to someone walking around their 4runner and telling you what they did to it. Good job editing too. You just did some simple maintenance here along with some really clean upgrades, we can SEE the work you put into it and that's way cooler than just talking about it.

I have a '97 SR5 I am considering doing the same thing with. Still a good rig with 300k on the odometer, but a rather large bear committed suicide by stepping out in front of me, so the 'runner now needs some work on the front end. LOVED your bumper build!! Sagging in the rear also, as they all did, so I think it's getting a little lift as well.

@@makanasfishing1574 - Didn't know you could turn a minivan into a welding rig. Naa sorry, my welding rig is a '98 Ram 2500. Custom fabricated flatbed on the back to hold all the gear. Odds are the truck and gear is worth more than everything you currently and will ever own in your life.

Nice work! I like everything you did...but the wheel and tire combination is a little more mall crawler and a little less offroad for my taste. I think the sweet spot wheel/tire size combo for 3rd gen 4Runners is 8.5"x17" wheels w/-10 offset and 285-70-17 tires with a 2" lift....no spacers needed. Plenty of sidewall for offroad and still very drivable on road at highway speeds. Replacing the stock upper control arms with adjustable ones is a must to get the alignment into proper spec.

The only missing peace here is the rear folding spare tire kit. It would make the 4runner look like a weekend warrior. But even so as it stands it looks and functions amazing. Hope you guys get many more reliable miles with it.

Your 4 runner is look’s great , had to check your vid out I just bought a 2002 4 runner with 187;000 mi. On it , white with blue grey cloth interior , it’s 3” lifted already , the diy bumpers are kick azz ! Wish I had the tools and garage to do some , I’ll have to check out some on line , I’m like so pumped ! My journey is just beginning ! 👍
