At least Manila has traffic lights. In the towns and cities north of Manila there are uncontrolled 4 way and t-intersections where it's every vehicle for itself: scooters, motorcycles, tricycles (any two wheeler with a sidecar), cars, buses, dogs, trucks. It's a challenge but you get used to it.
