CRAZY Transformation | BMW 540i Wagon Update

I know it has been a while but the wagon project is getting pretty exciting lately. This 2001 E39 540i Touring was one of the most neglected, awful, downright junk cars I've ever seen, so I decided to buy it and restore it... Time for an update and an explanation of what comes next.

Did you ever find out what was broken on the Dinan donor car?

Haven’t had a chance to get the engine out yet but one thought is that the oil pan hit something when it off the road (huge dent in it), oil pan withstood it but it may have transferred the force through an engine mount, cracking the block. Will probably rebuild that engine regardless, when I swapped the valve covers it looked ridiculously clean inside.
