As someone who is studying to be a defence attorney, the altercation at Lego Land was completely unlawful, those "women" were 100% in the wrong and legally, Lofe, you have grounds to sue both Lego Land and those "women". Legally, uttering threats (especially death threats) is more serious than assault, the "woman" who threatened your life, by law, should be arrested and jail time would be appointed. In addition the "women" can easily have their children taken away and be charged with endangerment of a child. It is harrowing and a complete miscarriage of the law how you were treated... Putting Gotan in handcuffs was unlawful and there was absolutely no reason for the officer to act the way he did, that is abuse of power and it's sad how law abiding citizens can be treated in such a manner. Regardless of the entire situation, the LEO had more than lawful reasoning to detain all of them, he only put Gotan in cuffs because he seemed to be the most antagonizing... Yes, you can leave the property before the police get there and then the police cannot lawfully detain you since you're no longer actively trespassing/on the property. The situation sucks but there wasn’t much the cop or employees could do with the information provided at the time. We can judge as we all witnessed what actually occurred at the moment with this video. But all they saw were a grandma, mother, and her two kids and a group of smart mouthed teenaged boys. In this situation the kids take priority because they’re in Lego land and don’t want to ruin that experience for them while the other 3 were clearly causing a ruckus while there. It happens because they act like absolute asshats that couldn't care less about respect, boundaries, etc. I don't feel sorry for them. The big lady and her daughter were definitely out of line and they should have kept their cool (they are their own punishment) but this business of young people acting like buffoons (and they're proud of it?) for money and clout is dumb af. :/ The funny thing is, I used to act just like these guys when I was a teenager. I couldn't see what the experience was like for the people I was fucking with - and none of you see it either, because this is the world you're growing up in and you aren't being taught what is right from wrong. Remember, in any situation where it is you and other people - *it isn't all about you*.
