Not saying the actress didn’t play Row well, I think they should have stuck with Candace’s real life daughter Natasha Bure who played Row in a previous episode and is soo like her mum it’s not even funny. She is perfect for the role of and future episodes of Aurora Teagarden when they want to show Row in her younger years.

@@SusanBenning might want to check your facts before commenting. Haunted by murder was the episode Natasha Bure (Candace Cameron Bure’s real life daughter) played Row in her younger years. She done an amazing job. Also she is an adult so I don’t think the ‘her mum wouldn’t let her’ speaks for this. She also never left Hallmark for that reason, her own words were “It wasn’t so much about leaving as it was about an opportunity to grow a new network that puts faith and family at the forefront of its content. I’m very proud of the work I’ve done at hallmark”. Stop spinning stories and people’s words, just makes you look bad and makes people not trust you.

1:19 just my opinion, and this actress may be phenomenal, but they probably should’ve written the original out of the story to bring this person in. The biggest mistakes these channels make with ongoing series is replacing the original actor or actress with somebody else and keeping the same identity.

Watched the full story, & have no liking for this new prequal of Aurora Teagarden Mystery. Found it boring compared the original with Candace Cameron Bure. The character of this Aurora Teagarden is too wired up, too uptight & more of a busybody than the other Aurora. Her sleuthing is not up to par, it is like she just keep making wrong assumptions. To top it off, she acts like she is in charged of the whole investigation. The other Aurora used to get reprimanded all the time by the police for interfering with police investigation but not this one. What's up with her hair; it looks like she slept & woke up without combing it & the color, the worst red I have ever seen. I am really sorry to have made such negative comments but that is exactly how I viewed the picture as I see it & the Aurora Teagarden character. I won't be watching anymore of it, one is enough.

As much as I do like Candace, I find this Auroa Teagarden more convincing becase the actors are unknown to me, all but Marilu Henner, and makes it seem more "real". I think the lack of chemistry between Roe and the boyfriend is intentional. Then ending though imo was too quick to resolve and not convincing. I enjoyed it for what it is.

I am enjoying this upgraded version of Aurora. I found Bure to be pretentious and annoying. I find Skylar to be genuine and humbling as well as a fine actress. In the very beginning, it appeared that the deceased was stabbed from a distance by someone with a precise aim and strength. It is not Midsommer forensics, but that should have been a factor in helping to profile the killer.

I miss Aurora's witty and female charm. The original Row could laugh and smile through any kinds of events , even murders and attacks.They were parts of her character. The new one is too serious. She hardly gives her mom and friends a smile, even in the morning.

Ohh. Oomph & pizzazz of the original series clearly missing, my opinion only of course. First time watching this new cast. But Marilu Henner excellent as always, glad to see she’s continued. New Aurora seems miscast; the bland expressions that don’t evoke my curiosity as to what she’s thinking. It is a whole new series of Aurora gardeners youth. You could call it. I’m using voice to text. Please understand that it will write things down as it wants to not as I’m actually speaking it. My fingers do not work properly anymore and I can’t fix the mistakes I cannot fix punctuation. I can only use voice to text and hope it does at least a good enough job that it will at least make sense when you read it But answer your question yes they decided to go with how Aurora became the person she became, etc. etc. the first movie of the bunch is that introduces the younger version. It’s not just her. It’s also Lexi and it’s called the haunted house or something. Aurora Teagarden in the haunted house or something like that…I’m going through the ones I haven’t seen yet so I’m saving this to my phone just in case I can’t find it on my tablet
