The drill might have applied the weight it needed for the propeller to be more submerged. It also kept the boat more stable. This was an awesome upgrade though, you could definitely go further with it.

With these motors connected together isn't going to make it faster. The rpms will remain the same as a single motor. But it will have much more torque! Cool idea tho, maybe use a massive prop to take advantage of the torque.

I dont think it's will improve that much because the RPM is still based on KV. More motor will only do one thing that is More torque and when the motor reach the RPM rated it's just gonna stop there not going any faster because the propeller are so small it's not need that much torque to spin it. Except he put a bigger propeller on it that way it's might be faster

Or in this case he using 3S lipos battery and the 3200kv motor so the motor will only spin at 35,520rpm (might be lower depend on load) in case of a 1 motor. And in this case he using 6 motor that mean the load is not going to effect it that much because the motor has a lot of torque so let's assume that the motor will spin at 35,520rpm now even you add like 10 more motor it's not gonna be any faster because the motor is already reach the rated RPM
