There’s this thrift store out where I live in Texas and it has this one section of Fenton, Murano, etc all the things CLL looks for. And every time I’m in there, I think “I wish she could walk around this with me and tell me what’s worth picking up and what’s not!” I’m learning a lot from you Jocelyn so thank you for always taking us with you. I would have ever picked up this Mexican wood carved Toucan bird if I didnt watched your channel. And sure enough it sold about two days after listing it. So thank you for your knowledge!

Hi Jocelyn! I’m old enough to remember when that stainless steel ice bucket was used in our elementary school for the teachers iced tea! I will just say that that was in the 1960s!! Just to give you a time frame, Thanks, love your videos! Christina 🍋

The Penguin servers were very common in the 50s and 60s. Every woman in my family had one, so family picnics would see a parade of Penguin servers with everything from hotdogs to baked beans to potato salad. Interesting that it wasn’t till after I was married and given one of my own that I EVER heard of someone using it as an ice bucket. It was always used for food - either hot or cold. I now have two - my own and my mother’s. It makes a great display piece, and it’s useful, too!

I watched your 2nd Whatnot sale and I wanted to say I think you and Andrew did great and my favorite part was you standing firm at the end (before I dipped out, so that may have changed) to everyone's raid wants. Keep doin' you. 👍 You're crushin' it.

@allysonmartin31612 жыл бұрын
Here’s what I’ve gleaned. Once a sale is completed on what not, the seller/host can opt to send their viewers into another sale that’s live. Essentially the viewers “raid” another what not sale. Jocelyn did it for her first sale and the recipient of the raid was so so thankful. But she decided not to for her second sale.

The most famous ceramic houses from Germany are "Kastel Keramik". They usually have a big square mark on the bottom with the brand name. The mark "Handarbeit" is usually found next to it - with "Handarbeit" always being written as one word. There is never a space between Hand and Arbeit like on your tower. That looks a bit strange. 😬 These houses are mostly sold on Christmas markets in big cities here in Germany. So someone brought them to the US as a souvenir. The base of the other one you picked up earlier might have been broken on transport, so the next time they bought the little tower that was less dangerous to transport. 😆

Penguin ice buckets were everywhere 10 years ago. Then none. Grabbed one at a yard sale recently and was giddy. FOMO I guess. Jocelyn, I don't know how you have the energy to do what you do. Today I traveled an hour to pick up an eBay purchase & decided to thrift that town. I did 6 and I'm absolutely exhausted. Then I came home and watched you thrift while I ate dinner. HaHa! P.S. I had a bad case of baggy envy until today when I got to fondle some for the first time at Savers. Got some Talavera and Talavera-like smalls. Cured! LOL! Thank you for teaching us.
