The “rock” is real. It is from southern Utah and known as a septarian nodule. It has been cut and polished. This is a really pretty specimen.

My wife had some clayware she made in School Manu years ago. A Dark green glaze, looked like art. She Warner to throw it out, but I saves it and sold it at a fleamarked. Priceless was her look, when I handed her ($50) 250,- dkk I had sold her School art for. ❤️

The geode you should have gotten. It is real, possibly someone decided to cover it with felt to use as a bookend. It was a septarian some people call them dragon eggs. Septarian or septarian nodules are concretions containing cracks and cavities filled in with minerals such as calcite (yellow) and aragonite (brown). That one was of a size and quality of the calcite that you could have at least quadrupled your money.

Put them in your garden in your strawberry patch before you get ripe strawberries. Birds peck the rocks and are dissapointed and it trains birds that this bed is not food. Then they tend to not eat your actual ripe strawberries. I would buy them!

The person selling it said it was a good deal for $125.00 after spending time talking to other buyer it was a good price went back to get it and was gone.
