Peter Wakefield Jackson worked as a production potter at Rowe Pottery Works, which led the revival in early American style, salt-glazed pottery in the early 1980s. In 1984, he founded Rockdale Union Stoneware, which grew to become one of the largest producers of handmade, salt-glazed stoneware in the U.S. It closed in 1997, and Peter now operates Wakefield Studio just outside of the tiny village of Rockdale, WI.

I lived in Cambridge as a kid over 50 years ago. The studio, better known as Rowe pottery, is still there. Rockdale is a don't blink or you will miss it town about 5 miles from Cambridge.
