Yes that's a good idea. It will work. I use a USB flash drive and copy from phone to it. Then I stick USB flash drive in back of TV.

In my cabin that I built to haul on my trailer for the purpose of parking it where ever I wanted , I have a 32 inch smart tv that has Roku on it. I do not smart view my phone to it because it shows up on the tv not in full view. However what I do do is use my mobile hotspot on my phone and give my tv its own internet connection. downside is if your not in an area that your phone has full signal. the internet given to the tv is just as limited and load up time my be slower than you want but in my case slow or not watching a movie with in the Roku channel has never been a problem. No I have solar panels for my cabin and that's how I get my power. So even at nights I have no issues watching a movie or two. So Tether your phone to the smart tv using your mobile hotspot vs using smart view.. I don't have an iPhone because I think they are junk. I use and have always had Android. Samsung models. Love my Samsung.

You should have bought a cheap digital antenna you'd be surprised how many channels you can get off that

I can get over 30 channels from a cheap amazon antenna. I use a trekking pole and bungee it to the ladder.

True but he watches movies not TV. So I suggested getting a USB flash drive and put the movies on it then just put that in back of TV.

Have the same tv in my van. It’s actually pretty decent for the price. Use firestick in places with WiFi or antenna in places without. Also have hdmi to apple adapter for phone. That tv doesn’t have cast feature. I was surprised as well.

The scan for channels would get quite a few local channels, as I think he's near a major city (Lincoln?), but there has to be some sort of an antenna going into the coaxial input on the back. You get the most channels with an amplified rooftop-type antenna (but of course he's not going to do that), almost as many without the amplifier, and then some channels, not all, with unamplified rabbit ears. You have to scan for channels, of course, in the Menu.

Those salads come with lots of toppings and dressing that have high sodium content. Read the bag of that pre made salad and you’d be shocked how much sodium you just ate. Look good but “salads” aren’t technically healthy with all that crap they come with there are better healthier options for salad choices. Just looking out cuz you had that heart attack. Quady: Just run an HDMI cable from your computer to one of the HDMI inputs on the tv, select that HDMI with your remote, and play something on your computer. I use a tv (Vizio, in fact) as my upstairs computer monitor, works fine. I do have to use the tv's Menu to turn off the tv's sound, as I instead get better sound by plugging computer speakers into the computer. I forget if there are any video settings, either in the Vizio Menu or Windows Settings, but if you get any funky results, go looking in those places.

My favorite part of camping/van videos is the cooking parts. I love that in your videos the cooking portion is more fleshed out and you show almost everything. Being disabled its really fun to watch people like you go out and camp. Hopefully one day I get better and can do normal people stuff again like I did a few years ago. Also with the TV, a lot of people wouldn't buy a 720p TV but honestly I think its fine. I grew up in the early 2000s and 720p then feels like what 4k is now.

It's not optimal but, you can get an HDMI cable to connect from your phone to your TV... Problem is, you can't charge your phone while it's connected. Unless a wireless charger would would, maybe... Good luck dude... 🤙🏼

When we go camping we download a bunch of movies onto a 1t hard drive. And then just hook it up straight to my smart TV. Wel have like 600 movies stored.

Also the computer monitor mount will work perfectly fine, 99% of them are made for monitors up to 32 inches, and use the same VESA mounting sizes on the back.

Yes, you can cast from your cell phone to a Vizio D-Series TV. Built-in Apple AirPlay and Chromecast, phone or laptop. 1. Google Cast- Open a streaming app on your phone, tap the Google Cast icon, and select your Vizio TV from the list 2. Vizio Screen Mirroring app-- This app allows you to mirror your phone to your TV, and you can also use it to control your TV with your phone.

I've used my hot spot on camping trips, to even watch nfl games.. just depends on ur location. You can also buy a small wifi portable box. It fits in your hand. We have that for if my hot spot doesn't work, and to stream pet cam when we're not at the camper. Best of luck!

Dude I’m not a huge fan of seltzer waters but damn near every one of the liquid death waters are delicious! They also have teas! Also for the tv, in my house I have a computer monitor 27 inch and I have the display/hdmi plugged into a dongle and then I just use my MacBook or iPad and plug the dongle into the usb-c slot and it just shows up on the computer screen.

Yes tvs r cheaoer, but don't last as long Our 1st color tv was one if thus piece of furnture models with maybe 27inch screen. It cost over $500but we had it atleast 20yrs probably bought in 1972

I have a cheap Walmart projector that supports Miracast/Wifi Direct. I use Smart View to connect directly to it from phone. I also have a 1TB memory card in the phone and have 100 plus movies in MP4 format on it, with plenty of room to spare. It's my Blockbuster in a pocket. I also have a Vizio tv and never had any luck with direct wifi connection. Maybe a Samsung model TV would support wireless connection. Surely they'd support their Smart View feature.

I have a 24” Roku tv in my Tahoe. Seems massive in the space of the back of a Tahoe but I also have a digital antenna, HDMI to phone cord, and a little DVD player. So I can always watch something when I want. All powered by a bluetti solar generator.

Amazon has a 15.6 tablet that might work better or you can find a tv without the smart. OR get a digital antenna, but that will have to be plugged in also. Good luck! Nice to see your doing well.

If you have the movie on the phone. Start playing it on the phone and you can cast it from the video app. Not the Smart View. Or plug your old tablet directly in the USB on the side of the TV and change the Imput to USB.

The TV and the casting device have to be on the same WiFi network. On my Vizio TV, a cast app pops up when it's connected to a network. Your phone will find it

CQ..I always liked the old van…I have a Visio and it is a great little tv…as you found out you need a router/cable to get great service…Samsung allows you to mirror off your IPhone the …the Visio D series smart tv will allow mirroring from phone but as you know you need good phone reception…Steak looked delicious…😀
