Solo Truck Camping At A Snow Covered Campground - Grown Up Grilled Cheese & Rusty Gold

I found some snow! With the surprising lack of snow in Nebraska it was nice to find a camping spot that wasn't just bare trees. I rounded out the evening with the best grilled cheese I've ever made and then enjoyed Deer Camp '86 witch was a surprisingly good flick. Then off to check out some rusty gold in the morning that I had spotted on my way to camp.

What a great night of camping. It’s really awesome to see Quady take advantage of campsites that are still open. Nobody goes camping in the beautiful winter. Winter can be beautiful. What I love about winter. No mosquitoes. No heat and humidity. You can keep your beer cold outside. You can keep your meat fresh. You can even store ice cream outside. Winter can be fun to get out and get some exercise as long as It’s in the 20s or 30s instead of below zero

Got tip for you Brother Quady... in the colder months when butter isn't very spreadable, I use Mayonnaise. Works great for any grilled sandwich in a skillet! The Quadyrado still Rocks!!!

Instead of spreading the butter, just melt it in the pan and put the bread in.

Quady I just wanted to say that I am glad you are doing better. I just wanted to say thank you for your videos. I remember when you started you explain why you went to tubing after you had a bad experience with your work after an injury. I am kind of going through that right now had hernia surgery got hurt at work saw the doctor today. He said you’re all set to get back in two weeks. It’s only been 5 1/2 weeks since my surgery Last time I was out eight weeks and this was a worse hernia two hernia is in five years sucky luck, I wish I had the smarts to start a KZbin channel like you did you have made it you have a well deserved audience, and your videos are always top notch Family friendly put you in a good mood. You’re a go-getter and I appreciate that I am in my head right now about what to do about my job. Do I go back to work feeling like shit because they told me too. Or do I contest it . Workers comp sucks. Patch you up and throw you back to work whether you’re ready or not big businesses suck and as far as I’m concerned, most doctors do to especially the ones that are in the workers comp pocket. I’ve had three people give me three stories. My human relations guy said I would be out for two months with two months light duty doing hardly anything which I don’t know where he got that from when he told me and then the nurse from Worker’s Comp. told me I would be out Two months also but the doctor said I usually don’t keep people out that long for a hernia I wanted to say this is my second hernia and the first one was effed up sorry to ramble time to watch your video. I’m sure it is gonna be as good as the rest. Keep them coming Mike

Holy crap Mike, what a grilled cheese sandwich!!!!! As, for the cast iron, I personally have a set from my late grandmother passed down a few generations and im not even sure what brand it is. I also bought a cheap one from walmart which was rough but overtime it seasoned up and all I did was use it and brush it out with chainmail then reseason after each use. didnt take long to be just as good as the oldtimers. Cast-iron that’s all you want to cook with it’s best not to cook with chemicals with the other pans, but cast-iron pans are the best once you get used to it won’t go back

You always seem to find the best camp sites. You must do alot of research on where you're going. Keep using Lodge you can't wrong. You might try Lodges carbon steel. I love my 12" skillet. Good luck!

I use my induction over my regular stove about 90% of the time these days. They're great to have. I use a wagner that was a hand me down. It was made sometime in the mid 1940s. I love restoring f'd up cast iron skillets, it's a fun hobby.

Yea he helps a lot these days are ruff one of my best friends I’ve had since i was five had a massive stroke two days before Xmas he serviced but just barley and is now in recovery. Another friend of mines baby is fighting for its life. My niece need surgery on her back cause of scoliosis. Also we have a POS as president.
