The reason why it's not on any album is simple, since all their music is being hacked (like for every artists), they need to give fans incentives to come to their shows, where they make real money. By the way, their shows are out of this world, much better than their albums, try it.

@@cmayk I've seen a comment by ex-member Hugo Payen saying they never recorded a studio version of Minnie The Moocher but they did for Chocolate, he said it might be on one of his many hard drives. I suppose if you were able to contact him offering him a few grand for a studio version you might have some luck but I don't have money to spare.. As much as I'd love a studio version of chocolate..

@@cmayk He's not just any ex-member though, he's one of the main founders if you can call him that, he was easily the second most note worthy member of the group if not the most note worthy. He deserves a lot of credit for the old caravan palace music, He was a vocalist and the violin player, he's the guy who sang in minnie the moocher and did the scat voice in suzy just to mention a couple. It's safe to say the first few caravan palace albums would not be the same without him. It's not like he's fallen out with the group I think he's just not really into the new caravan palace music and so went his own way.. He has a studio version of chocolate (unless he deleted it) and the longer time goes on without its release the more likely we will never hear it. Everyone likes money and if someone had the funds they could make an offer to Hugo and the rest of caravan palace..

Um guys, im a musician in training and this to me, sounds like an improvised song. It follows chords thay work with each other, and follow the basic song pattern. Based on the quality, it sounds like it came from a live concert. Perhaps caravan palace doesn't want this in their albums because if the song gets popular, they won't be able to replicate the song in another concert. But thats just a theory from me, nothing official.

I mean, I'm no musician but I would assume they could just listen back on a recording of the performance and try their best to replicate the melody. Either way I don't think they're interested anymore in releasing it since their style is so different now and they've expressed not wanting to go back to their old sound.
