Les Chevaliers du Ciel was filmed in co-operation with the French Air Force. Initially the standard safety rules applied, but eventually the minimum allowed altitude was reduced to 3 m (10 ft) and the minimum distance between aircraft was reduced to 1 m (3 ft).

This is such a cool movie. First time I watched it I thought it was 10 times better than any other jet movie done before. The HD filming is just fantastic and highlights the jets and the French country side beautifully. Ok some of the script is a little wierd but it is still very enjoyable movie to watch particularly on a large HD screen in full surround sound.

I totally agree and I have a Large HDTV with a Kick ass Klipsch 1500watt Home theater system and they are both connected to my computer so i can tune and tweak and make it a better watcing experience then actualy going to the theaters themselfs. I wish i could find the source of this footage because i REALLY want an HD version of this. It looks like alot of the un used footage for the movie, its probably an extra content on a blu-ray Disc. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, thats why i uplaoded it.

Yeah I would love to get hold of this too. I have the normal dvd version but if there is heaps of extras on the Blu Ray disc then I would surely go out a buy a Blu Ray player just for that! I find it interesting that the trailer for this movie shows the A340 airliner as Airbus's house colour jet and yet the movie shows Qatar's A340. I wonder if they filmed a practice run with co-operation from Airbus and then had co-operation with Qatar?

its the best quality that i could find with the parts that weren't shown in theaters. I wish i could find where this originated from, I'm just glad i saved it many years ago. there's plenty of other vids with the theater parts in HD, which this includes, but also what wasn't shown.
