Seeing fun zebras !🦓cast on two socks this week (Magic Loop two at a time and 9” circular) for camp and put two wips in time out! Yarn cakes in the “batters box” waiting for their cast ons.

I see a Zebra. When my daughter was young we watched the Madagascar movies a lot. I see Marty the zebra who didn’t know if he was black with white stripes or white with black stripes. 😂

Have not made my first pair of socks yet, but have been watching your podcasts and tutorials to get ready. AND then there is all that equipment you need, sock blockers, tiny little needles of various makes and configurations, etc. So I have been in the acquiring phase - not to mention some wonderful sock yarn. The yarn is amazing! I worked all last week to get three socks finished so I had needles to cast on all the socks last night!🤗I am so excited to see how many pairs I can get knitted this summer! Having such a good time with SSC! I started one pair, because I have a few items I need to finish before the end of the month. I'm using Felici for the first time and I think I'm gonna like it! Lat summer I ordered 6 different colorways. Oh, and I've found so many new to me designers!! I want to do ALL the socks, but have to work all day. Pooh!

The black and white yarn with the red yarn reminds me of Cruella DeVil and 101 Dalmatians. For sock camp I casted on a pair of socks using your 2 circulars tutorial. Decided to use worsted weight yarn because I already had two US5-16” needles and didn’t want to buy a set of smaller needles if I wasn’t sure if I would like using 2 circulars.

Like some others have mentioned this yarn reminds me of Cruella de Vil from the 101 Dalmatians movie. We watched that many times when our kids were little. Socks knit from that yarn would make a bold statement and be lots of fun.

The Zebra Yarn made me think of a cartoon Zebra with red lips when you first mentioned the name and I saw the skein. Then when you said the Wicked Witch with the Ruby Slippers, I can't unsee that! I was going to say Wizard of Oz, but I have to agree with the commenter who said Cruella Deville. Gorgeous colors. Had to order some more needles. I must say this is a real learning experience. I think I'm frogging my 1st go at my sock. Sure have learned a lot. I'm a crocheter by nature. I'm also learning to navigate Ravelry. That's interesting. Thanks for all you do.

I love it! It actually reminds me of my high school bedroom. Walls were bright red and everything else was mixed animal prints. 🤪🤪 I think it’s probably much prettier as a yarn than a bedroom.

I started the first of June with some coffee bean socks for a dutch kal: koffieboontjeskal 🤎 I have so much fun knitting it. So with these socks I will start my first summer sock camp. I already have a plan for at least 3 other sock patterns. I probably will cake up all the yarns this weekend. 😇 The Zebra yarn from Stolen Minutes actually reminded me of another bad guy: Cruella Delville. 😃

I grew up obsessed with Wizard of Oz and thought about it right before you said it. I used to force my family to watch the movie every year when it came on. Participating in sock camp for the first time and I'm having a a great time. Making my first pair of socks with the Flyers and it's going pretty well so far. I just need more hours in the day.

Magic Loop has always been my sock go- to, but I think I’ll be switching to two circs! They are very similar to knitting with magic loop but I think the gusset pick up might be easier with the two. I’m going to try using one metal needle and one bamboo ( both Chiaogoo) so that it’s easy to tell which needle you are on. I know I’ll have to see if my gauge changes too much. I always learn a lot from you!

Oh speaking of Home Spun House she did a DK sock in her recent video and I am the one asking for a vanilla DK sock pattern. I will give her numbers a try of 48 stitches with 3mm needles cause all I know is how to knit socks like you taught us 64 stitches with 1.25 needles. I am a new sock knitter so don’t know how to figure out needles and stitch count with thicker yarn. I accidentally bought size 2 yarn and knit a sock for me same as I always do and when I tried it on it was way to big so my husband got his first pair of knitted socks. So I have one more ball in a different color so will have to size down for it. Thanks
