Michigan's best player in Corum was out. Edwards was playing with a broken hand. Our top two tight ends were both injured. Our best defensive lineman was limited. This isn't to mention the numerous other injuries to other positions as well. So much cope coming from Ohio Soft University. If they decided the game at halftime they would have lost to Penn State, Notre Dame, and Maryland, and tied Northwestern. Michigan's style of play makes them a second half team and you've seen that all year from them. Rutgers was leading at the half and then we destroyed them 52-17. I don't think anyone, even braindead OSU fans, are arguing that Rutgers is a better team than Michigan.

Playing cover 0/1 and loading the box comes with risks and rewards.. most of the time you hold a ball carrier to a yard or two but if the opponents blocks it properly the risk is just what we saw: a 75 and 85 yard TD run.. The defensive philosophy OSU used creates BOTH results.. Also, you CAN'T take away those 2 runs because they happened. What if we took away both of Stroud's TD passes.. Exactly...

Can they fix these blown assignments so they can keep it competitive versus Georgia? We'll see; Georgia's offense was quite explosive against LSU, who has similar talent to OSU.

That was painful! Edward was playing with a broken right hand and to carry the ball in his left hand and Ohio still couldn't force a fumble. Mike Morris our best pass rusher was out and only played 10 snaps. Two o-linemen who did play had not played in 3 weeks. We didn't have our starting TE Eric All and were playing a freshman and walkons. Granted the freshman is a really talented pass catcher. Still though, next man up. So much excuses. The tell for me was watching the Northwestern game. Northwestern is not talented besides their LT who is a top 10 draft pick so knew they would not win but Pat Fitzgerald always has his teams ready to play a physical brand of football. Ohio State couldn't do anything much against them. This is the Big Ten, if you have to make excuses about the weather then your team is soft. You are going to play in bad weather games. That is just a fact that is inescapable.
