0:40 Also make sure to do it quickly as that glue dries quickly. As I found out 1 minute later. Don't use a naked flame to head the glue use a heat gun on low heat 4 inches away for 30 seconds or so and then gently tug it out. Repeat if it doesn't come out all the way the first time. I did not do this. So required a replacement.

I would advise anyone who purchases this wrapper to experiment using the wrapper with and without the tensioning rod. In my opinion, the tensioning rod is completely unnecessary for holding thread tension and actually works against itself as far as controlling thread and back spooling. Try both ways, good luck!

Thanks for the video. I just got this exact hand wrapper. I watched some other videos where they went through the eyelet closet to spool then center then tension rod to slider. I noticed you went closest to tension to center to slider. When I do it this way my rod tilts towards side? The only way it’s straight is if it goes through center eyelet before tension rod Not sure if this makes sense but that’s what I came across

The end parts where the thread goes on (the name is eluding me when writing this) on my hand wrapper got stuck when I screwed them on down the thread. I switched to wingnuts like the old model.

Very nice how do you support your pole as you get to the end eyes?

On a third one of the support arms. A self standing one

I was watching videos of people using this rod wrapper and they have to keep reaching back and turn the thread spool backwards to get the tension rod to come back up is this normal or do they have their spool tension to tight?
@DIYeasycrafts Жыл бұрын
I have not been doing this for that long but have not had that problem. I set the spool tension once and it stays
