I jumped the gun a bit and ordered mine today. I had read and watched some reviews before hand that were alot less honest than others. Now I'm starting to see alot of the same complaints. It seems like alot of issues from the assembly line. Which I had with my ender 3 v2 as well. I'm definitely disappointed in hearing the issues with the new leveling system which was a huge buying point, and the creality cloud I'll just have to see myself. I'll give it a go, it seems alot of people have come up with the solutions already which is life saving. Hopefully I'll feel a bit better about it than others. Creality really needs to quit rushing and really do some quality inspections at the assembly line. This had so much potential but just seems to really fall short. Especially the way it's advertised.

Creality has been dropping the ball recently for me as well. Had so many issues with my ender 3 max and after months of back and forth with support, I enlisted a friend to help me take it completely apart and remove all the "upgrades" to the machine and follow a few videos to make more adjustments. Now I can say I get pretty good quality but the headaches and lost money via clients are making Creality a no-go for me. It’s 300x300x340 and that’s all I need I don’t really care it’s not 400 on the z, cos honestly how often do you do 400 high prints or close to that anyway. I love the ender3 max and if I was to get another biggish printer, ild just buy another one of those.

"If I had trouble like that what's a newbie going to face" Well I'm a newbie literally a week in and I must admit it took a few days to get it properly calibrated but I got it working giving next to perfect prints. I will agree though the bed level is a bit of a nightmare but after running the auto level a few times it works great. And yes I agree the stock filament strings like a b word but as soon as I swapped it for kaige filament (sunlu rebrand) I had a massive difference in quality. Not had a problem since. 🤞 I too spent about an hour cursing thinking they didn't include the tools but when I found them I was surprised it was a really nice little kit.

picked this up on a slick deals post at $299 shipped. maybe i'm lucky, but i updated the firmware to v1.0.10 that was recently released, and haven't had an issue with first layer or any failed prints. very pleased with it so far. touchscreen isn't very intuitive during prints (how the hell do i see current z height?), and auto power off after print doesn't seem to work, but i can live with these shortcomings.

Why the fuck is every reviewer hating on this printer. You and all the other reviewers have 20+ 24/7/365 printers. And you don't know how to update the firmware. If people did that it WORKS COMPLETELY NORMAL and is a really nice printer. It is really noob friendly if you know how to put a file on a SD card. Great vids normally though. The printer is really awesome but you need to update the firmwate
@FranklyBuilt3 жыл бұрын
Think about what you just said. Why do I need to update such a crucial piece of the printer right out of box? Why is a $500 printer that poorly tested? You have to realise by defending these types of actions you only add to the problem and further enable Creality to continually release untested products. Imagine buying a car buy it won’t drive straight until you google a new computer program for it and install it; you’d be furious. I’m more than familiar with updating firmware; why do I need to do that out of box? Why is the bed loose and wobbly and require disassembly to level right? The minute you need to type in “but” in a defence of something like this; there’s already a problem. I get what you mean; I do. But Creality marketed this as a next generation printer that’s easier to use than any other; that was the lie of the year.

You should hop on Reddit then and search more because the bed is a huge issue; noted in almost every review video out there so I’m not sure where else you’ve been seeing reviews. It all doesn’t excuse the fact that this printer is bad; it’s as simple as that. I would never recommend it to anyone for this price tag and Creality needs to get there act together. It’s getting old

Frank when he found the tool tray after 4 hours > 😐. 😂 But yeah I wish creality would test their printers before selling them cuz if we are the test hamsters then it wastes our time and money trying to figure out how to fix the problems they didn’t face cuz they didn’t test it. It’s probably a good printer but I wish they just would go through the testing phase before selling it.

@tonytroxell79473 жыл бұрын
There's a reason why I call mine the CR-10 "Smart," and I wasn't smart when I jumped on one of the first ones. Out of the box? Got some good prints. Then, all of a sudden, it stopped working. First, the prints would fail at a certain height, but when I checked there'd be no clogs. It would just stop extruding. Then, the ABL stopped working on it. It's been gathering dust as I've been focusing on other stuff, but it's on my list of things to work on fixing up (still kind of a newb myself, and for someone with my limited skill set? It sucks) over the next month or so. Got firmware updates to do, need to tear it down and rebuild it as there's been some binding issues on the Z Axis, and I just need to figure the stuff out before I hit the frustration level where I toss it off the roof.
@FranklyBuilt3 жыл бұрын
It seems like many people are having the same problems. It’s a shame because the printer has great features with so much potential if they were executed better. The fact that it has “smart” in it’s name is probably appealing to a lot of people who are just getting started in the hobby, kinda gives the impression that it’ll be ready to go out of box. Hopefully Creality fixes these issues soon.
