Now that we assembled the printer, its time to get setup, level the bed and print something. Originally I was gaming to print the Boaty object that a lot of people print first, but that did not come pre-loaded, so I chose something that was already on the card. Thrilled to see this! I really appreciate the work you put into this. It's all very easy, but not if you've never seen it done. The pamphlet included for setup was okay, but it didn't really explain enough after the parts were connected. This video fixed that issue. I'm printing the demo cat model right now. Looks good!

@@frankhobsonKJ4CDM Man. All i need to say is connect the thermistors truly. I did it wrong when setup and it didn't work. Began an alarm sound so loadly and im so scared about this fckin expensive machine is broken. Then i figured it out. I connected nozzle's thermistor to beds thermistor. Now its working.

Love the video man! Just one thing to mention for everyone here if you are working on any machine make sure it’s unplugged not just turned off. Look up proper lock out tag out procedures it can save your life!

I would recommend checking the Bed leveling at least three times. Adjusting in one corner affects the other corners

I have the same printer… I brought it 1 month ago.. I set it up and printed the dog also. It cam out great. My question is I went to a site called thingaverse and downloaded some design but my machine can’t read it from the TF card … what do I need to do now???? Any help would be great

first thank you for your time in making video...just purchased unit..first time buyer and user..and was initially stopped in tracks. not seeing the voltage switch..not stated in the very poor instructions sent with unit.was able to run unit... after your video...with enclosed sample designs..as a jewelry designer, looking forward to creating... will stumble around internet to find how to make drawings and translate to three thank you

Mine didnt come with a filament change feature or an automatic bed leveling feature that moves the head for you that everyone shows in their videos. Leveling was a HUGE pain. I think my bed may be warped.

Just put mine together and first was the g-code dog from the included card. It came out wirey (not solid). My first thought was the filament was hanging up on the spool and not feeding properly. I tried again unwinding enough filament to pull without any drag and got the same result....actually a little worse. Not sure what to do next????

@@Alien415 as a teenager, these things can be a little bit difficult to fine-tune if you aren't a little bit tech savvy, but if you are willing to learn then it will be no problem :), it can be frustrating if you have a lot of stringing when printing, or if the first layer does not stick to the printing bed, but you can make a lot of cool things with it. Be aware that the print bed may come warped a little bit out of the box, so I would recommend buying a glass bed and an automatic bed leveller (BL-Touch)

I tried to print the sample file (dog) and it started all ok. After it built up about 3mm, the printing went wrong and it ended up looking like a big pile of stringed hair. I did perform the bed levelling calibration, so I have no idea why the first test print so badly. Any idea what the issue is and how to fix this?

For some reason I am unable to disable steppers. I am doing the nozzle to paper test. The nozzle is tightly holding the paper in place. Can anyone help me? The have version 1.0.1 2020-4-25. Thank you! Edit: I took the glass off so not the nozzle isn't touching the paper with a death grip however, I can still can't disable steppers.

I bought one of these and I have had nothing but trouble with the piece of rubbish. It doesn't print anything like what you did, Every one of them is stringy and half the time they don't stick to the bed even with a brim. I tried every setting and temps, Different filaments' and a glass bed. I am ready to bin it.

This helped me a lot. I am still having issues sadly though. I had to flash to marlin for 2.2 with a BLTouch and it keeps wanting to start prints towards the edge of my printer.

Buy one raspberry pi and install octoprint on it, then you can drop STL files to the pi and slice them.

This is the worst printer ever. Mostly because all of the "help" around it will be talking almost exclusively about a different printer with a completely different setup outside of a few common parts: The ender 3. The stepper motor wouldn't push filament all the way through the tube no matter what I tried unless it was in reverse or manually fed. The stock extruder is crap.
