I agree 100% with you, I had nothing but issues with my K2plus. Within a week of use my extruder PTFE push fitting failed causing a clogged nozzle. With no available spare parts from Creality it’s impossible to fix the printer, and you are on the mercy of their support team. So I had to modified my extruder to keep my printer going while I waited for the warranty parts to come in. The filament sensor was poorly after numerous issues and error from the printer I going the retaining spring that hold the filament trigger was missed placed from the factory which cause the problem from the beginning. The Printing quality also resembles the poor build quality of the printer. Print after print I keep changing setting and trying to get improve the quality. The Creality slicer is full of bugs and glitches every time you move a setting. I was forced to changed from my Mac to a windows computer to make it get better quality due to issues in the Mac version of the slicer. Also Don’t try to cancel a print this takes about it 3-5 min for the printer to accept the request before it stops printing. This is a horrible system. The CFS comes with its hand full of issues. When printing multi color you need to be around and monitor the filament changes. For some reason the filament hub trigger a stuck error and stops the print until its resolve. My Bambu printers are miles ahead on quality.

With all that being said I wish I would have known that before I bought. It’s wild to me that in 2025 you can have that many issues with a printer right away. I have 3 Bambu printer and one is a refurbished one and never had 1 issue. One of my printers I have been running for 9 months 24/7 seven days a week and it still has the original nozzle. Keep on printing bro

Definitely not too harsh. I think you got lucky with the broken foot, at least it exposed some big QC issues. With Bambu's recent access control move, and creality's QC problems, I'm looking at the sv08. I was ready to pull the trigger with bambu, literally same day I was going to make my purchase I fortunately found out about them locking down 3rd party access. I wish the coreone was available in a larger 350x350 format. Hopefully after some calibration the sv08 will be a reliable printer.
@Millenniumworkshop6 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree that the broken foot on my K2 Plus exposed significant QC issues. I also share your caution regarding Bambu's recent access control changes. It's great that you're researching alternatives like the SV08 - fingers crossed it'll be reliable after calibration! I think you make a valid point about Bambu's motivations. Forcing 3rd parties to increase security is a positive step. I appreciate their efforts to protect users from potential threats - no zombie printing machines coming to life and chasing me out of the house lol! While there's been speculation surrounding these changes, I think a lot of people are jumping to worst case scenarios. Most 3rd party developers are going to jump on board to what Bambu wants to access Bambus users. Let me know what you think! Looking forward to hearing about your experience with the SV08!"

I’m glad to hear yours came in perfect condition. I am sending it back but I think I’m going to hold off on ordering another one. I think I’m going to wait to see what Bambu does next. I have had nothing but a positive experience with all 4 of my p1s printers. Thank you for watching
These are not guide rods, they are lead screws and all they do is control position in the z-axis, they should not be fixed at the top or else they wil overconstrain the motion of the bed, this is by design. You have 4 guide rods that control position in x-axis and y-axis and they are solid. I have had this printer for 1 week and the print quality and speed are impressive and a very solid product. Having said that, yes they did cut corners to deliver the product in a short time. My printer came with a broken door hinge an a broken foot, also some minor bugs with the slicer and cloud which i am hoping they will fix soon.
@Millenniumworkshop12 күн бұрын
Thank you for the clarification on the lead screws! I appreciate the insight into the design and functionality. You're right, overconstraining the motion of the bed could cause issues. It's great to hear that you're impressed with the print quality and speed of your K2 Plus. Sorry to hear that you experienced some quality control issues, such as the broken door hinge and foot. I hope Creality addresses those minor bugs with the slicer and cloud soon. Thanks again for sharing your experience and adding more context to the discussion!

Hey, at least the K2 can be used entirely offline unlike all future Bambu machines now. That alone is enough to make me consider it instead of whatever the new bambu XL is.
@Millenniumworkshop8 күн бұрын
To be honest, the upcoming firmware update for Bambu Lab printers has created a lot of uncertainty. While there's been plenty of discussion and speculation, the truth is that we simply don't know what to expect yet. I'm excited to learn more about the update and its potential impact, but for now, let's take the speculation with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation.
@oneanother112 күн бұрын
Hey, I'm not trying to rain on your disappointment, but those leadscrews are fine the way they are. They are allowed to move freely so they don't bind up causing shift in the z axis. Take a look at those huge smooth rods, there's four of them, those are what keeps the z axis sturdy, and not the leadscrews. Ive been printing for years, many different brands, and I tinker on them. Believe me, I'm not a creality fanboy, I'm just seeing you being frustrated when its not going to be an issue. Try not to compare too much with the bambulab, the creality k2 is a different machine built completely different from the smaller bambulab. The k2 is a way better printer than the k1. You have to at least do some prints on it before coming to a conclusion. Idk man, got disappointed too easily.
@Millenniumworkshop12 күн бұрын
I appreciate your suggestion that I might have been too quick to judge, but considering the issues I found with a $1600 printer - a broken foot, missing screws, and a loose back panel - I think my concerns are valid. And why I never even turned it on. Thank you so much for the help and the kind correction.
@DavidPelkey11 күн бұрын
Same sort of shit happened to me. It was mostly intact when I got it. I did have to fish one of the bearings that came off a front roller and made is way into the filament advance and sensing assembly. It will print PLA like a champ. But when I printed PPS-CF... the links in the armor showed. The unicorn nozzle is clog happy... even without CF filaments. I wish I saw those videos before I ordered. The support is lacking ... or just not efficient. If they could just fix their support they'd be giving Bambu Labs a run for the big money. It's a machine with huge potential and I'm looking forward to seeing what people and aftermarket companies do to fix this thing.

Those rods are not the guide rods, you can see them in the front and back. Creality has separate screws for the Z axis. They are not anchoring the plate to the screws like Bamboo does. Maybe the Creality solution is better in that regard.🎉 The feet had gotten a bump so one came off, the others were in fact fixed before you unscrewed them! Are there nuts or plugs floating around inside after you unscrewed them maybe?

When I took the other foot off because the printer is so heavy I felt that I did not need the other feet. I can always fix that foot later no big deal in my opinion. But when I took that one off a bolt that holds the frame together was just sitting in the hole no big deal but when I check the broken foot that bolt in that hole was not screwed down. My big problem with all that what is not put together everywhere else inside the printer. Just seemed to be too many strikes to deal with. Thanks for watching means a lot

I did not buy straight from Creality but a domestic online store.

This is why i don't like Creality. Long time since i bought one and they still make these stupid faults. The number one reason why i don't want this machine is because the multi color is only made for layer hight 0.2 mm. Less then that and the print will not turn out that good. After some reviews i found one guy talking about this problem and he contacted creality and they said not less then 0.2 mm when printing multicolor. Perhaps they will fix this with time but there are other brands that can perform with less then 0.2 mm. Problem with creality is that everything looks good from outside until you reach the inside (printing) I would still be happy if the chassi looked a bit bad as long as the printer is made what it is supposed to be made for. Creality seems as usual to forget what they actual are making. They focus on to mutch designs...that's why bambu lab are still kicking their butts

@@MainframeDaydreams That is a broad truth that lets Creality off the hook based off denying accountability because "everyone has problems"... That don't work for me. I wasn't even referring to the QC issues, although that adds to the negative reputation further. Every other youtuber that talks about the K2 has something significantly negative to say but overshadows the negativity because they were sent the machine for free from Creality. This being a whole other problem with trusting content on YT. This channel didn't do that which is nice, but they also couldn't even use it so there you go. I have never liked Crealiity. My local makerspace I belong to had several along with a couple Prusa printers. The Prusa's were work horses and when they did break down to all the abuse they took in that environment they were easy to fix. The Creality printers were always broken down and sat in a state of disrepair and when they did print they didn't print well. When it came time for me to purchase my printer I went with Prusa. Even though they are in eastern Europe, the Prusa customer service is excellent and I had to order a part (user error - totally my fault) I was able to get parts right away via Fedex and they have complete easy to follow instructions to make any and all repairs. I love my Prusa XL and it was worth every penny.

Wouldn't those be extra screws for longer feet? Many have had the issue with a broken foot/screw. I would invest in a 5 pc small left handed cobalt drill set and a screw extractor like the Irwin set. The left handed drill bit usually backs out the remaining screw while drilling. If it doesn't , then the extractor will as it also is left handed. Those are height adjustment rods for the bed travel. The "Guide rods" are the smoooth ones that are held in place very securely. The bambo relies on their z bed height rods to do both. The screw rods in the creality are supposed to be loose on the top.

If I had received a printer from the company that arrived with a broken leg and a damaged screw, I would have immediately boxed it back up, called the company, and informed them that they sent me a defective product. Honestly, there are a lot of red flags here-I wouldn’t have gone as far as removing all the bolts at the bottom of the legs. This should have been covered under warranty.

Hey there! I appreciate your input, but I have to respectfully disagree. By the way, I think you meant to ask 'Are you a man?' - just a friendly correction. As a reviewer, I've worked with several 3D printers, and I can confidently say that the issues I encountered with the Creality K2 Plus were not minor. Regarding the guide rods, I understand that some play is normal, but the amount of wobble I experienced was excessive. It's not just about being 'loose' - it's about the overall build quality and attention to detail. As for the broken bolt and missing screws, those are not 'easy fixes' that a customer should have to deal with out of the box on a $1600 printer. It's about the manufacturer's responsibility to ensure that their product is properly assembled and quality-checked before shipping. I'm not giving up on reviewing 3D printers, and I'll continue to provide honest feedback to help others make informed purchasing decisions.
