Looking forward to this printer. The only thing that I can add is I think Creality needs to improve on is the Extruder spring is set in place where as it needs to be adjustable that's the main flaw in the extruder. Without adjustment relying on a set spring is not great for course filament or tpu. Having a adjustment screw tensioner for the filament feed is a must. Which is a big reason why outside of Extrusion speed that users swap out the extruder.

@kevin.at.Creality I most likely will being the Creality CMS is not supported it would be Epic to have a 8+ colour build on the Ender 5 Max. If Creality can Collab with me wink wink lol.I would definitely do a Ender 5 Max build with CoPrint Kcm. I have a spare kit ready to go on that CoPrint sent me.

I have an Ender 5 Plus and this seems like a logical next step. A little bit larger print volume and lots of newer tech. I too would like to see this use the Creality Unicorn nozzle as it would reduce maintenance and minimize the chances of leaking filament or breaking a heatbreak when heat tightening the nozzle.
@kevin.at.Creality7 күн бұрын
i'm glad it's not just me! Heating up the nozzle and taking it off and putting it on - I broke my ceramic once. Now the unicorn gives me zero headaches.

I really want this printer for sure. Glad to see it comes in pieces so I can carry it up to my 2nd floor print farm (ie spare bedroom) little bit at a time. I also want the color Hi. Great video Kevin. Here is a tip for everyone to make unboxing easier for heavy items. Tilt the box on it's side and open the bottom. Move the flaps out of the way and tilt the box back upright and pull up on the box. Gravity will unbox the item for you. That is how I do it like with I recently bought the K1 Max. Makes unboxing so much easier, especially when you are alone.
@kevin.at.Creality7 күн бұрын

People who would want this: cosplayers that want large single colour prints they will paint will want this so that they don't have the slow print on a bed slinger anymore. Print Farms for sure! The flat pack shipping also reduces shipping damage risks. This is a big printer for big or multiple prints for sure.

Kiki and you did a great job! ;) Adding the audio afterward was a good idea, although I would have loved to eavesdrop. The Ender 5 Max really is a huge printer. I think we will see a K2 line of printers. I have not heard anything but it makes sense. They started with one K1 and ended with 4 of them so it's not likely they will have just one K2.
@mycreativeprints98186 күн бұрын
So what’s the difference between the K2 plus besides it’s bigger than the K2 plus…?
@kevin.at.Creality5 күн бұрын
This does not have an enclosure. Cannot do multi-material printing with the CFS. Enclosure and camera sold separately. No heated chamber like the K2 Plus. No unicorn nozzle like the K2Plus. And it is half the price of the K2Plus. Also this build took me over an hour - the K2Plus would already be done printing 2 benchys after being assembled. lol

Why can't they do multicolor on the ender5 max? No klipper firmware?
@kevin.at.Creality5 күн бұрын
it is Klipper. But they did not make the cutter assembly and all the hardware needed for it. I'm not sure of why - I guess they will focus on certain printers for multi-filament systems and other printers will stay simple.

Hello, while it is a nice printer I do not understand why, today, some would want a big open frame 3D printer. Who is creality marketing this printer to as compared to the K2 plus? Yes it is a tiny bit bigger but it isn't enclosed . Guess I'll just have to see but with so many printer choices now I fear that creality will not be able to properly support them all and that will hurt them, which is too bad. Thank you for the video though
@kevin.at.Creality7 күн бұрын
Enclosure panels and top are sold separately - likely to keep the cost down for those who want it. Seems like this is aimed at print farms who want big and fast. I agree, I am hoping to make a lot of Ender 5 Max videos so they don't forget about it - totally agree.
@ylexot0075 күн бұрын
Print farms (and most consumers) are primarily printing PLA which doesn't need an enclosure.
@ylexot0075 күн бұрын
Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed in the tool head design. For a printer that is designed to be for print farms, the focus should be on reliability and ease of clearing problems (which are usually in the hot end and extruder). All the other new printers moved towards more reliable, user-friendly designs with the Unicorn nozzles, magnetically attached covers, and windows showing movement of the extruder. Not only did they not adopt those features, but they went backwards and now there are even more screws to remove to get to the extruder. So, it's big and fast, but going to be a PITA to work on. I guess not using the Unicorn means that the nozzles are cheaper to replace, but if it causes more problems (and failed prints), is that a good trade?
@kevin.at.Creality5 күн бұрын
I'm a big fan of the unicorn nozzles too - was very disappointed. And I agree with the thoughts on the magnetic cover and complicated removal of the extruder. Other users seem to like the older nozzles - tried and tested. I guess this is a good reason why we make so many different printers, because everyone has their favorites.
