Where can I find the sequence of wall construction (inside/outside) and adaptive layers?

for inner/outer you need to enable "advance". Then the setting is in Quality, scroll all the way down into Advance and you should see the option. Not sure if adaptive layers is in CP 5.0.

I noticed the creality calibration tool doesn't work in 5.0. In the two part flow rate test, when you select the second test, it doesn't ask you to pick the best setting from the first test.

Did you get the updated profile for the printers? There is an option for that in version 5 in the gear icon that notifies you when new versions are available. And did you use lidar calibration? Not sure if the default settings uses it or not

I think so, haven't gone into the gear icon you're talking about, but will take a look. No I don't use the lidar calibration.

@@alanobass Enter the general settings, there is an option called "Push parameter package updates". It is not enabled by default. After i enabled it, there was an update for K1 with the default 0.4 nozzle. It came available the next time i started the software.

Excellent video, man. I was looking for this comparison. I have some questions: 01) Did you put the same filaments before slicing? In 4.3, by default, the Hyper PLA filament is selected, and in 5.0, by default, it uses Hyper PLA RFID. Is there no difference between these two materials? 02) I did a test with the file "buddha_flat_bottom.stl" at 100% and after slicing I got the times below: Buddha - Hyper PLA on Creality 4.3 Time 1h33m, and on Creality 5.0 Time 1h15m Buddha - Generic PLA on Creality 4.3 Time 2h24m, and on Creality 5.0 Time 1h17m This Creality 5.0 time doesn't make sense! In Creality 4.3 it changes the parameters automatically according to the film, and apparently in Creality 5.0 the slicing is done and "Good luck". But watching your video it seems like Creality is increasing time and sacrificing quality. Thanks for the video!

Thanks. I just use the default hyper pla settings on the slicer. There might be a difference in the settings because there's on 5.0 it did print faster. I do find that true. The printing time is faster, but the bridging and a couple of things are worse than version 4.3.

What do you mean issues with speed? Maybe slow down the print and see if that helps. The quality is not as good as they said, but it's in beta so things are prone to not be the best.

I have not tried different filaments, and yes these are printed in Jayo pla+.

Where can I set up Z-offset in CP5.0?

You can set it in the Printer Settings, under "Printable Space" but you'll need to turn on advance to see it. But I doubt it worked. Just do it on the printer's screen or on Fluidd and it will auto save it.

If you use a Creality printer like the ender 3, this slicer is good, as it outputs to Marlin, i use Orca on my ender 5' , running on sonic pads( x4) , my ender 3's are are all stock except for uprated heaters and thermistors, the results are pretty good

I might recommend testing overhang at a variety of temps. It could be that version 5 performs better at certain temps. All that sag would suggest that you might be running your hot end too hot.

It could be, but I think if temperature was the problem, then on creality 4.3.8 would have sag too. But I'll surely do a temperature test.

@@Scratch3DPrinting If the slicer is supposed to perform better with overhangs, then I suspect it moves/extrudes differently when passing over the overhang. If it slows down slightly to enhance the overhang, then it would be more susceptible to oozing/drooping at higher temps. This is all just speculation of course. Great testing. I really enjoy your various print testing videos. Thanks for the great content.

After watching this I did the same test using hyper pla, and some generic pla. On both the 5.0 results were better. I've noticed a lot of frustrating bugs with 5.0. -user material profiles turning into system profiles (can't delete them) -thumbnails not transferring to cloud or the printer. -sometimes the speed bugs out and print times will be 4-5x longer than normal. Have to restart and reslice to get it back When I can get around all the bugs and successfully slice, it has been working really well for me. I've had to adjust some of the Temps such bad raising the bed temps to 60c for pla and lowering the pla nozzle temp to 220c. After that everything have been coming out extremely well. I hope they fix these bugs soon and also get a Mac release.

Yes that is true, it prints fine, but there's just so many bugs that's is annoying. If all those are fixed then it would be a great slicer.

Right, Creality Print 5.0x ist Buggy. Thumbnails working if u change from "PNG" to "CR-PNG ":-) Material Profiles are very Buggy....Custom to Default "jumping" Profil Bug !!! ....and Default Profils cant delete ;-)

@HessenBub77 I tried switching to cr png but it didn't work for me. So strange because the very first time I printed with it I swear the thumbnail worked. I still have it on my printer. I remember thinking "yes they fixed it!" Only for the rest of them not to work haha. Hoping for an update soon... I really like the UI compared to the old version, and being able to manage my printers with it is nice too.

I enabled Z hop only on the top layer. One thing about version 5 I noticed is that files sent to the printer don't see the print preview. Does this happen to you too?

Hello! Yes I do the the print quality is much better on CP v5, but it's just the bridging and overhang that is not yet optimize by creality. I don't have issues about seeing the print preview, but I do have problems with the printer not printing when using the one-click print. I need to manually do it on the 3d printer screen it self.

Yes the bugs are annoying. I tried 5.0 and the gcode was printing anti clockwise with every file I tried to print. So uninstalled it. Went back to original creality print on sd card that came with printer.

@lensman64. My KE works perfectly! Run the autolevel and z offset, then drop the z axis down by two clicks. I also print pla at 230 with a bed temp of 60. Try those settings.
